Uttarakhand Niwas built with the cost of 120.5 crores is meant for political top leaders, bureaucrats, Governor, CM, ministers, MPs, MLAs n top brass of judiciary with no place for common man
The newly constructed and renovated magnificent Uttarakhand Niwas built a month ago and inaugurated by the Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and presided over by the former chief of the UCC committe of Uttarakhand and Press Council of India chairman retired Justice Ranjana Desai in the presence of several cabinet minister , chief secretary etc of Uttarakhand is not meant for common people but only for the Governor, top leaders, bureaucrats, judiciary, etc. This official declaration was made by the estate department of Uttarakhand which has also released the official list of those entitled to avail the facility of Uttarakhand Niwas including the rate list.
According to the latest news, the newly constructed Uttarakhand Niwas at the cost of Rs.120.5 crores will be available for Governor, chief minister, Asembly speaker, ministers, leader of the opposition, chief justice of Uttarakhand high court, justices, MPs, MLAs, state minister rank holder vice chairmen of various boards and commissions, state law makers, former chief minister, advocate general, state presidents of the national political parties, chairman of various constitutional commissions, Mayors, Jila Punchayat chairmen, chief secretary, additional chief secretary, DGP, Additional DGP, chief conservators of forests, states chief standing counsels, officers of 13 A grade levels and above etc.
There won’t be any facility to avail accomodation for the officers of the rank of additional secretaries n below and common man in Uttarakhand Niwas nor has any rate list been prepared for these officers, not being entitled.
If they avail the facility of the stay in the niwas then they will have bear the expenses till Rs.5000.
As far as the conventions and meetings of the Uttarakhand government and its various departments is concerned, the Niwas will host them free of cost.
If the corporations, Boards or committees hold their official meetings they will have to pay Rs. 15000 per day. Rest of them will have to pay Rs.35000 per day.
Questions are being raised by several leaders of opposition political parties especially the regional parties and people saying that so much money has been spent in the construction of this magnificent building out of tax payers money but the common people have no say to avail any facility especially accomodation and that too at a nominal rates.
Moreover, there is already a Uttarakhand Sadan for MLAs , ministers n VIPs of Uttarakhand at Chanakyapuri then why this vulgar ostentation and over spending of Rs.120.5 crores when a common man of Ukhand can’t use this facility
