Uttarakhand Congress will not have its CM face. Election to be contested on combined leadership

While the Uttarakhand chief election committee chairman Harish Rawat is extremely active in various programmes of Congress with his supporters projecting him as the next Congress CM of the hilly state in case the party returns to power with majority the central observer and in-charge of Uttarakhand Congress Devendra Rawat has formally announced that Harish Rawat has not been declared the chief ministerial candidate by the central high command and the election would be fought unitedly under the cumulative leadership saying that usually the state party chief leads the campaign. The election are being fought vigorously under the leadership of state party chief and Harish Rawat, the chairman of the state election committee said Devendra Yadav. Addressing a press conference on Sunday Yadav said the Congress party is winning this election with majority likely to get more than fifty seats as the ruling Bhartiya Janata Party has failed on all fronts with people especially fed up due to skyrocketing prices, increasing immigration from villages, massive unemployment, women security issues, corruption and farmers being neglected completely. He catagorically said that the party has not decided on any chief ministerial face and the next chief minister would be elected by the state MLAs after Congress secures full majority. On the questions regarding welcoming the possible defectors from other parties the Uttarakhand in-charge Yadav said that the party will definitely welcome the old Congressmen who had joined BJP five years ago but with great precision weighing their winning chances n other factors. On being asked about the chief ministerial face decided by the Central high command, Devendra Yadav replied in negative adding that the BJP has one chief ministerial face but we have ten n the party will decide on this issue after getting majority in the election. It may be recalled that the issue of the CM face to be decided by the central party high command was earlier raised by Harish Rawat but it was rejected forthwith by the then party chief Pritam Singh and also the then leader of the opposition Dr. Indira Hridayesh with veteran Congress leader Harish Rawat’s camp hell bent upon declaring him as the CM face of Uttarakhand. However, the issue got diluted later on but Harish Rawat was able to get his protege Ganesh Godiyal, MLA appointed as the new Uttarakhand Congress chief, himself getting the post of chairmanship of state election campaign committee with his bete noire Pritam Singh being made the leader of the opposition. Meanwhile, on Sunday the Congress spokes person from Delhi Ragini Nayak, Harish Rawat n Leader of opposition Pritam Singh etc today released a till free number against corruption, skyrocketing inflation and unemployment at Rajiv Bhawan Congress office.
