Uttarakhand Congress general secretary Rajendra Shah assaulted and threatened at Congress office in Dehradun
While the former chief minister of Uttarakhand and chairman of the state election campaign committee Harish Rawat is today in Delhi to meet the former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi after having been summoned by Congress High Command to resolve the ongoing crisis after his tweets two days ago, at Congress office in Dehradun general secretary of Uttarakhand Congress Rajendra Shah, considered close to former Uttarakhand chief Pritam Singh has been allegedly assaulted by some activists of rival factions accusing him for abusing Harish Rawat, a charge outrightly denied by Shah.
The argument occured between the activists and general secretary Rajendra Shah at Congress office hitting the latter n forcibly pushing him away shouting at him. The senior Congress leader of Uttarakhand Mathura Dutt who was present at the time of scuffle tried to pacify the attackers, however, till yet there is not a single word of condemnation from any Congress leader for attacking the party’s general secretary.
According to the video released about five youths are physically pushing Rajendra Shah threatening and accusing him for using unparliamentary language against Rawat, with coerced Shah strongly denying the charge blaming them of using goonda tactics to attack him.

General secretary Rajendra Shah is a proactive Congress worker in Uttarakhand Congress and is considered to be close to the leader of the opposition and former Congress president Pritam Singh.
The senior Congress leader n spokesman Mathura Prasad who tried to calm down the alleged attackers expressed his serious concern over the incident saying that this should not have happened. In the morning the former CM Harish Rawat, Uttarakhand Congress chief Ganesh Godiyal, Uttarakhand Congress observer n in charge Devendra Yadav, leader of the opposition in Uttarakhand assembly Pritam Singh, former Congress chief of Uttarakhand Kishore Upadhyay had a meeting with former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi to resolve the ongoing crisis in Uttarakhand Congress especially the furore created by Rawat’s tweets complaining about his hands being tied by Congress top brass and non cooperation by the state leaders etc.
There are also reports of Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi speaking to Harish Rawat after his tweets to appease the veteran leader calling him to Delhi. According to the developments of the meeting of Rawat n Congress leaders held with Rahul Gandhi the ongoing crisis has been resolved with all the leaders directed to work unitedly to make Congress victorious in the ensuing elections.
Being a seniormost leader of the party Harish Rawat it has been decided that though the CM will decided after the elections after, the election campaign will be lead by the former CM n chairman of the campaign committee Harish Rawat.
