Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami politely treat media men a lesson saying after all credibility is also something in journalism. He was unhappy over rumours spread regarding his removal

The chief minister of Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami was today while addressing the media was in no mood to relent.

He instead gave lessons to the media teaching them ethical journalism adding that their credibility is at stake despite they being an important fourth pillar of democracy.

With him was the smiling health minister of Uttarakhand Dhan Singh Rawat.

Very sarcastically pointing to journalists Pushkar Singh Dhami said in complete composure that you all are young journalists and have been running news for more than a month about the change of the Uttarakhand CM. I am very much here and so is Dhan Singh Rawat. What credibility do you hold by floating such news asked the chief minister with one of the media men asking when will be the Muhurt of change of CM or the expansion of the cabinet take place ?

The answer came spontaneously that when the right moment comes he will himself inform them and invite cordially.

It may be recalled that after increasing protests in Uttrakhand especially after the unceremonious exit of the former erring minister Prem Chand Aggrawal and news about Mahendra Bhatt likely to be replaced including arbitrary arrests of UKD leaders Ashutosh Negi and Ashish Negi remanding them to 14 days custody and increase in Illegal Mining in Uttarakhand with alleged collaboration of Mining mafia and local administration the credibility of the Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and his government is at stake with news floating about the change in state government’s leadership too.

What is surprising is the fact that a former chief minister and Haridwar MP of his own party vociferous Trivendra Singh Rawat the other day spoke in Lok Sabha about the worrisome state of affairs bringing his own party’s government under question on illegal mining issue openly accusing the state administration of Haridwar, Nainital, Udham Singh Nagar and Dehradun for clandestinely collaborating with the mining mafia to unearth tonnes and tonnes of natural resources from the rivers and sending hundreds of trucks during the night hours fully packed with “Khanan ” leading to brutal Accidents killing human beings and also injuring several of them. This allegation is directly against his own government vindicating what the opposition Congress party has been saying and UKD too. Though the statement of Trivendra Singh Rawat is true and human safety centric for the goud of the state but it remains to be seen whether the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami takes it in right earnest or not.

Some political analysts say this statement of Trivendra Singh Rawat in parliament is a pre indicator of the Uttarakhand chief minister going into political oblivion in the near future. Though nothing is official in this just a speculation.

Speaking in the Lok Sabha, the former chief minister and Haridwar MP spoke like the leader of the opposition rather than an MP from the ruling party, surprising everyone. From the past examples one can conclude that he is outspoken in making statements without caring about the future consequences as compared to other sycophantic and opportunistic leaders of Uttarakhand.
