Uttarakhand CM meets Defence minister and BJP chief JP Nadda. Seeks fund for Jakholi Sainik school, Rudraprayag.
The Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met the union defence minister Rajnath Singh and BJP national president J. P. Nadda presenting them bouquets and holding deliberations on various important issues of Uttarakhand. The chief minister will be meeting the prime minister Narendra Modi and union home minister Amit Shah on Friday. According to sources the chief minister will be present in the nomination of the NDA presidential candidate, former Jharkhand governor and tribal leader of BJP Draupadi Murmu on 24 th January in New Delhi. The chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has requested the defence minister to sanction sufficient funds for the infrastructural development of government Jhakholi Sainik School at Rudraprayag, Garhwal. He also submitted the suggestions and views of the retired defence services officers acknowledged during the interactive event on Defence Forces recruitment Agnipath Scheme. During his meeting with the BJP national president J. P. Nadda Pushkar Singh Dhami termed it as a mere courtesy call but said that he was privileged to learn from him certain important points of the Antayodhya targets by the virtue of his outstanding organisational skills etc. He is also expected to meet the Union finance minister Dr. Nirmala Sitaraman to discuss the issue of GST reimbursement. Kindly recall that Uttarakhand government will not be getting the reimbursement of GST after June as a result of which the state will suffer the financial loss of Rs 5000 crores reveal news reports. Since the GST Council meeting is due for this month hence the CM can raise the issue in front of the finance minister to get it resolved forthwith.
Jakholi Sainik School will be a holistic platform for Uttarakhand children.
