Uttarakhand budget of Rs 65,571.49 presented in Uttarakhand assembly today !

The Uttarakhand finance minister today presented the annual budget of Rs. 65 thousand crores in Uttarakhand assembly. The state has the fiscal budget of of almost the same amount. The total budget laid down by the minister Prem Chand Aggrawal is of Rs. 65,571.49 crores. The budget contained allocation of Rs 7.5 crores for the regional crops enhancement, Rs. 17 crores for mission horticulture, Rs. 40 crores for chief minister self employment schemes, Rs 55 crores for Deen Dayal Farmers development Scheme, Rs. 55. 50 crores for free distribution of three cylinders under Antayodya scheme, Rs. 310 crores for Atal Ayushman health Scheme. Apart from these allocations provision has been made for reverse migration allocating Rs 25 crores. The government has also made provisions for allocation of Rs. 44.78 crores for Border area development programmes. Interestingly the state BJP government has also proposed to allocate Rs 5 crores for Uniform Civil Code for which a high level five member committee headed by a retired Supreme Court Judge has already been formed. In addition to these proposals Rs 5 crores have also been allocated for Sonan Singh Jeena university, Champawat Campus. The budget also allocates Rs fiive crores for open ITI and Rs 10 crores for opening of open GYM in the state. Meanwhile, the leader of opposition Yashpal Arya has castigated the state BJP government for being mum on the issue of Gairsain being made the permanent capital of Uttarakhand. He questioned as to what happened to Rs 25 thousand crores that were reportedly allocated for the development of Gairsain by the previous government of BJP led by the chief minister who had made the announcement of this massive allocation last year at Gairsain budget session, now gone into the drain. The president of state Congress Karan Mahra too has spoken on Gairsain issue saying that the government has backed out on this pivotal issue whereas the Congress party wants Gairsain to be made the permanent capital of Uttarakhand. The former Uttarakhand chief minister Harish Rawat who was arrested twice yesterday and today in Delhi while protesting against Rahul Gandhi being summoned to ED office n Gandhi family trio Sonia Gandhi, Rahul and Priyanka being allegedly victimised has termed the Uttarakhand budget as imaginary, demoralising and betraying in nature with not a single paisa allocated for the development of Gairsain in the previous budget spent till date.
