Uttarakhand agriculture minister asked to submit counter affidavit in Uttarakhand High Court to prove his innocence in disproportionate assets case

The cabinet agriculture minister of Uttarakhand, considered to be a heavy weight of BJP in the state Ganesh Joshi seems to be in real mess these days.

The reason being that the Uttarakhand High Court has accepted the petition filed by the RTI activist Vikesh Negi on disproportionate asset case worth Rs. Nine Crores against the minister.

What is interesting and important to note here is that the honourable Uttarakhand High Court has directed the minister Ganesh Joshi to file a counter affidavit in the next hearing fixed for 23 rd July in which he will have to substantiate as to through which genuine sources he has earned Rs. 9 crores during his tenure of the last 15 years as a lawmaker and a minister which according to the petitioner is disproportionate assets to the known sources of income.

News reports suggest that as a result of the Uttarakhand HC’s directives to the minister to file affidavit in this regard has made the position of the minister in jeopardy as he will now have to give him sources of income as to how he has generated this amount of nine Crores during his term of 15 years whereas the known sources of income were too less compared to this huge amount being found in record through an RTI by the advocate and RTI activist Vikesh Negi.

According to an investigative senior journalist of Degradun Gunanand Jakhmola , Ganesh Joshi, cabinet minister who is surrounded by many controversies including CBI investigation in garden scam, case of planting three times more fruit trees than the total land of the state, irregularities in construction of military shrine, foreign tour regarding organic farming, got into controversy two days ago regarding agricultural fair as well.
The fair had to be cancelled in a hurry.

Meanwhile, the High Court, while hearing the petition filed against him in the case of disproportionate assets yesterday, has asked him for a counter affidavit. Now he will have to prove in the High Court how he earned the nine crores?

In one of his posts the senior journalist Jakhmola said that the former governor of five states Satpal Malik is fighting for his life in the ICU of the government hospital Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in New Delhi.

He said on social media that he was in politics for 50 years. He was the governor of five states. A bribe of Rs 150 crore was also offered. Despite this, he lived his life honestly and today he is not even capable of getting himself treated in a private hospital.

At the same time, Ganesh Joshi, who entered politics 15 years ago, became so rich that he declared his assets worth 9 crores in the 2022 elections. Using this affidavit as a weapon, RTI activist Vikas Negi surrounded him.

The mainstream media, which I call Ganesh media, supported Ganesh Joshi wholeheartedly. Despite this, the matter did not subside and now this election affidavit is becoming a noose around his neck said sr. Journalist Jakhmola in his bold post.

It may be recalled that in the High Court, the court of Justice Vivek Bharti accepted the petition of RTI activist Vikas Negi for hearing.

According to Advocate Nalin, who is representing Vikesh in the High Court, Ganesh Joshi has accepted the court notice in the disproportionate assets case and his lawyer was also present in the court today for the first hearing.

The court has asked him for a counter affidavit in the disproportionate assets case. The next hearing of the case will be on July 23 writes Jakhmola in his FB post in Hindi.
