Urmi Negi bestowed with best actress , Bathaun – best film and Devbhoomi Ratn Award as well.
THE renowned producer, director and actress of Uttarakhand movies having also acted in some Bollywood movies like Swami Dada with legendary actors Devanand , MITHUN CHAKRABORTY in Dada and in Sautan with Rajesh Khanna, the producer, director, writer and actress of Subheru Gham and now its sequel Bathaun, Part 2, Mumbai based, originally from Pauri Garhwal , Uttarakhand Urmi Negi has been felicitated with prestigious Devbhoomi Ratn Award and the best actress award.
Apart from these felicitations the Urmi Negi’s Snowy Mountains production Garhwali film BATHAUN, Subheru Gham (two) was adjudged as the Best film in the CARAVAN INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL.
It may be recalled that Urmi Negi is credited for her outstanding contribution in Garhwali films viz. Gharjawain, Fyonli, Subheru Gham and Bathaun 2 etc. Her every movie carried a social message and picturized social evils prevailing in Uttarakhand resulting in her precious movie becoming tax free. Urmi Negi was also honoured by the then chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat in Dehradun and the then governor Maharashtra released the trailer of her Movie Bathaun, part 2 at governors house in Mumbai. She was also felicitated in Bangkok , Thailand recently by the RJP leader and former MP K.C.Tyagi. She was also honoured with several awards in Delhi in YUCA AWARDS FUNCTION, by Dr.Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank , in Rohini Kauthig and by the present CM as well.
