UP gangster involved in several cases of murder, extortion being shifted to Banda Jail from Ropar Punjab
Hardened criminal and gangster turned sitting BSP lawmaker of Uttar Pradesh involved in more than thirty eight cases of murders, extortion, kidnappings and physical assault etc is being shifted from the Punjab’s Ropar jail to Banda, Uttar Pradesh Jail under extremely tight security in an ambulance guarded by a fully equipped Vajra Van, PAC company, several police vans, doctors n paramedics.
The distance between Ropar Jail and Banda prison is about nine hundred kilometres which may take about 15 hours say the news reports.
Mukhtar Ansari is reportedly not keeping good health and is lying in the Ambulance under the strict monitoring of two doctors n paramedics.
On March 26, the supreme court has issued directions to Punjab police to relieve Ansari from the Ropar Jail and hand him to Uttar Pradesh Police where the former was imprisoned for over 19 months in a case of threat and extortion, pertaining to Punjab.
Presently, the MLA of Bahujan Samaj Party involved in about fifty cases of alleged murders, kidnappings, extortion and attempt to murder was also involved in firing gruesomely on one the Uttar Pradesh BJP leader but after several months of court case he was finally acquitted as all the witnesses backed out say news reports. Presently there are about 18 murder cases against Mukhtar Ansari reveal news reports.
In the present case regarding his imprisonment in Ropar Jail, a builder of Punjab had lodged a complaint against Mukhtar Ansari for threatening him demanding Rs ten crores. It was in this case that Ansari was imprisoned in Punjab jail.
However, the Uttar Pradesh police had petitioned to the supreme Court demanding his custody in view of good number of serious cases of extortion, kidnappings n murder lying pending in Uttar Pradesh Courts.
While in Ropar, Punjab Jail, the hardened criminal n BSP MLA Mukhtar Ansari has never appealed in any court for bail or shifting to UP jail, finding himself safe and comfortable in Ropar Jail, however, acting on the supreme court’s directives of March 7 while hearing the Uttar Pradesh police’s request to shift Ansari to Banda jail, the Punjab Police had no option but to adhere to the apex court’s directives.
It may been recalled that Mukhtar Ansari is a high profile criminal who had high connections as he shifted sides politically as and when government’s changed in Uttar Pradesh to seek protection and political refuge.
Meanwhile latest reports say that Mukhtar Ansari’s wife had expressed her serious reservations on Uttar Pradesh police expressing that her husband faces insecurity from them.
It may be recalled that in view of the encounters of certain criminals by UP police in Uttar Pradesh Mukhtar’s wife is quite apprehensive.
About ninety five criminals associated with Ansari have so far been arrested on various severe charges lodged in various UP Jails.
Mukhtar Ansari while being in Ropar Jail for the last 19 months was booked under the charges of extortion, section 386, IPC and criminal intimidation under section 506 of IPC on the complaint of a builder of Punjab, the CEO of Homeland Group complaining to have got a call from a person claiming himself to be Ansari demanding Rs. Ten crores. Ansari is accused in the alleged murder of BJP MLA Krishna and Rao.
