Unceremoniously ousted from saffron party Dr. Harak Singh Rawat vows to defeat BJP in Uttarakhand feeling badly insulted

After the unceremonious exit from the BJP, kicking him out of the cabinet and expulsion for six years from the primary membership, infuriated Dr. Harak Singh Rawat may join the Congress in a day Or two, reveal sources.

There are also indications that some lawmakers of Congress background may also follow suit including senior leader and lawmaker Umesh Kumar Kao now in BJP but in Delhi along with Dr. Rawat hobnobbing with senior Congress leaders. However, there are reports that Umesh Kumar Kai has denied joining Congress.

After the unceremonious exit of Dr. Rawat, expelled from party n state cabinet by chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, there is tremendous uproar in BJP circles, already confronting dissidence within the saffron own party and apprehensions of anti incumbency factor likely to go against them.

After Dr. Rawat’s unceremonious ouster, it is believed that while the Congress party will gain momentum after admitting him into its fold, hell bent upon ensuring the BJP’s defeat at the hustings, other MLAs, if they too join, as being speculated may further add fuel to fire against the saffron party say political analysts.

However, it still remains to be seen whether Dr. Rawat’s demand for two tickets, one for him from Kedarnath n another for his daughter in law former beauty queen, Anukriti Gusain from Lansdowne is fulfilled or not as Congress too is talking about giving one ticket from one family.

It may be recalled that forest minister of Uttarakhand Dr. Harak Singh Rawat had deliberately absented himself from the core committee meeting of BJP held at Dehradun attended by several senior state and central party BJP leaders including the Uttarakhand CM Dhami, Prahalad Joshi, for CM Vijay Bahuguna n Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank etc annoying the BJP leaders.

He was accused to have deliberately missed the meeting busy hobnobbing with Congress high ups, the charge denied by Dr Harak Singh Rawat. He was also pressuring the BJP leadership for shifting him to Kedarnath seat and giving Lansdowne ticket to his daughter in law Anukriti Gusain, dislodging the two term BJP sitting MLA Mahant Dilip Singh.

The chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami while unceremoniously removing Dr Rawat from the cabinet minister’s post and expelling for seven years from the primary membership of the party has catagorically accused him of anti party activities weakening the BJP, hobnobbing with Congress leaders and demanding ticket for his daughter in law and Kedarnath seat as well, against party norms.

This action reminds of Congress incharge Devendra Yadav in a, similar fashion, relieving Congress leader Kishore Upadhyay of all party positions of hobnobbing with BJP and SP leaders weakening the party fighting BJP tooth and nail.

Meanwhile, expressing his shock over his expulsion from BJP and ministership infuriated Dr. Harak Singh Rawat in tears in front of camera said he never expected of such a harsh treatment.

The CM should have atleast spoken to him for once while taking such a drastic decision said Rawat. He added that he was going to Delhi along with Umesh Sharma Kau to meet the Union home minister Amit Shah and Party chief J. P. Nadda but instead of speaking to him he was unceremoniously ousted, the news of which was acknowledged by him through the TV news.

Completely disenchanted and shocked Dr. Harak Singh Rawat has now vowed publicly that he will work hard to ensure that Bhartiya Janata Party is defeated in Uttarkhand.

He said if he opens the secrets about BJP there will literally be a thunderstorm in the saffron party but being a seasoned politician, am keeping mum. There are confirmed reports of Dr. Rawat and Umesh Dharma Kau, MLA joining Congress on Monday.

Dr. Harak Singh Rawat is rared as a strong leader in Uttarakhand but with the tag of an opportunist politician having change sides number of times since joining politics being in Congress, BJP, BSP from time to time as and when opportunity arises and he finds his political future at stake.

He had been at loggerheads with the former CM Trivendra Singh Rawat who had snatched the chairman ship of a corporation from him appointing his rival as its head. He had even said publicly that it was during his tenure as the Agriculture minister that Trivendra Rawat was given a clean chit allegedly involved in Dhencha Seeds Scandal saying that had he not given him a clean chit he would not have become the state CM. The then CM Trivendra Rawat had allegedly equated Dr. Rawat with a donkey.

Political analysts say that Dr. Rawat was finding ways and means to join Congress but was not getting a suitable opportunity, now, after his expulsion he has no option but to join Congress which suits both, him as well as the Congress which was already waiting this development to take place.
