UKD being pressurised to withdraw its15 days old Dharna at Dehradun demanding CBI enquiry on UKSSSC n Assembly secretariat scam !
The oldest regional party of Uttarakhand having played a significant role in the movement of separate state with its founder leader late Indramani Badooni, also known as Uttarakhand Gandhi has accused the ruling political dispensation of the state of allegedly pressuring, rather threatening them to withdraw their 15 days old Dharna cum peaceful protest demonstration near their leader’s, statue at Dehradun demanding an impartial enquiry by the premier investigating agency CBI.
It may be recalled that currently the STF in investigating this case and has nabbed 36 culprits so far with vigilance enquiry ordered against the senior erring officers of UKSSSC to which UKD has reservations.
The Uttarakhand speaker Ritu Khanduri had already ordered a high level internal probe in the assembly Secretariat appointments termed as arbitrary by opposition leaders. According to UKD leaders, the leaders n activists sitting on Dharna at Dehradun demanding CBI enquiry into the much hyped recruitment, paper leaked n cheating scam of Uttarakhand have been threatened to end their dharna cum peaceful protest because the ruling party dies not want this effective dharna cum protest to continue thus encroaching upin their constitutional fundamental right to protest. According to the national spokesperson of UKD on dharna to demand CBI enquiry Shiv Prasad Semwal accused the ruling party of allegedly derailing the separate Uttarakhand movement in which UKD activists in large numbers including movement activists from distant parts of the state n the country had relentlessly struggled hard with students suffering badly leaving their studies and exams in between.
He said these are the same elements pressurising them to give up their 15 days old Dharna who have tried to create obstacles in the way of Uttarakhand movement as they are apprehensive of disastrous consequences if the CBI probe is ordered in this massive scam. Kindly recall that in Jammu and Kashmir the sub inspectors appointment scam has been handed over to CBI which had two days ago raided thirty three location including raids at the houses of senior bureaucrats, but in Uttarakhand despite repeated demands by the angered and furious youths n students n various political parties their demand for the federal agencies probe has nit been accepted say UKD. Prominent among those sitting on the dharna are UKD leaders Surendra Kukreti, Uttara Pant Bahuguna, Shiv Prasad Semwal etc.
