Two youths aged 18 and 20 died due to Asphyxiation after they tried to help people in distress in over flooding waters at Udham Singh Nagar
The heavy rains and grilling monsoon in the hilly regions of Uttarakhand have created havoc with roads blocked on the Badrinath Kedarnath Highways a day ago and traffic jam for hours together with major residential localities in towns n cities especially in low lying areas submerged in water leading to human lives at risk and loss to properties. Falling of boulders leading to the tragic deaths of the travellers, incidents of cloud bursts leading to massive over flooding and destruction of houses with human beings and domestic animals buried underneath the rubble etc have become a common feature in Uttarakhand. As a sequel to the extensive damage to the properties and human lives due to intensive monsoon n overflowing in Udham Singh Nagar’s village namely Haldi two youths died after being swept away in the heavy tide of flood water. Both the youths were in search of the house hold articles after their houses were submerged in the overflowing water due to excessive rains. The SDRF team volunteers could retrieve the dead bodies after an intensive search operation that went for four hours continuously. According to the latest news due to the heavy rains the situation in Haldi village adjoining UP in Udham Singh Nagar has become tremendously awry as the entire village was submerged in flood water. Enthusiastic two youths namely Prince Kumar and Sunny in order to help the people trapped in the overflowing water started helping them. They were trying to retrieve the house articles from a house submerged in water but unfortunately one of them got trapped under water. His friend immediately went to his rescue but unfortunately both of them got trapped in the deep water and probably died of Asphyxiation. The age of Prince was 18 where as Sunny was 20 years old. The SDRF team was immediately summoned who could retrieve the dead bodies after intensive search for three to four hours. Both the bereaved families are in tremendous trauma.
उत्तराखंड के पहाड़ी इलाकों में भारी बारिश और भीषण मानसून ने तबाही मचा दी है, एक दिन पहले बद्रीनाथ-केदारनाथ राजमार्ग पर सड़कें अवरुद्ध हो गईं और घंटों तक यातायात जाम रहा, साथ ही कस्बों और शहरों में प्रमुख आवासीय इलाके, खासकर निचले इलाके पानी में डूब गए। मानव जीवन खतरे में है और संपत्तियों को नुकसान हो रहा है। पत्थरों के गिरने से यात्रियों की दुखद मृत्यु, बादल फटने की घटनाओं के कारण बड़े पैमाने पर बाढ़ आना और घरों का नष्ट होना तथा मनुष्यों और घरेलू जानवरों के मलबे के नीचे दब जाना आदि उत्तराखंड में एक आम बात बन गई है। उधम सिंह नगर के हल्दी गांव में तीव्र मानसून और अतिवृष्टि के कारण संपत्तियों और मानव जीवन की व्यापक क्षति की अगली कड़ी के रूप में, बाढ़ के पानी की भारी लहर में बह जाने से दो युवाओं की मृत्यु हो गई। अत्यधिक बारिश के कारण बहते पानी में उनके घर डूब जाने के बाद दोनों युवक घरेलू सामान की तलाश में थे। एसडीआरएफ टीम के स्वयंसेवक लगातार चार घंटे तक चले सघन सर्च अभियान के बाद शवों को निकाल सके. ताजा खबरों के मुताबिक भारी बारिश के कारण यूपी से सटे उधम सिंह नगर के हल्दी गांव में हालात बेहद खराब हो गए हैं, पूरा गांव बाढ़ के पानी में डूब गया है. उफनते पानी में फंसे लोगों की मदद के लिए उत्साहित प्रिंस कुमार और सन्नी नाम के दो युवक उनकी मदद करने लगे. वे पानी में डूबे एक घर से घर का सामान निकालने की कोशिश कर रहे थे लेकिन दुर्भाग्य से उनमें से एक पानी में फंस गया। उसका दोस्त तुरंत उसे बचाने गया लेकिन दुर्भाग्य से वे दोनों गहरे पानी में फंस गए और संभवत: दम घुटने से उनकी मौत हो गई। प्रिंस की उम्र 18 साल थी वहीं सनी की उम्र 20 साल थी. तुरंत एसडीआरएफ की टीम को बुलाया गया जो तीन से चार घंटे की सघन तलाशी के बाद शवों को निकाल सकी. दोनों शोक संतप्त परिवार जबरदस्त सदमे में हैं।
