Two women attacked by man eater in Almora. Three adolescent boys victim of Man eater in a week.
The man eater leopard attacks are not coming to halt or lessening in Uttarakhand. Instead they are exponentially on the rise with the maneaters entering houses – even in densely populated towns, villages, agricultural fields, on roads near villages and even grabbing children and adolescents from their house compounds n brutally killing them including running behind speeding motorcycles and attacking the pillon riders grabbing them and brutally killing after dragging their prey to the nearby bushes and forests. There had been several incidents of lynching of old aged women by maneaters after dragging them to nearby forests from their residential compounds.
The women and children are the worst victims, especially those working in farmlands. Just in a week’s time there had been three children kills with a 12 year old becoming the victim of a man eater in Tehri Garhwal two days before.
Prior to this deadly incident a four year old child was brutally killed and his mutilated body found in the nearby jungles in bushes in Garhwal region.
A video is doing rounds in social media showing a man eater pouncing on two women going on a pathway near Mirai Malli Bhora Gaon in Dwarhat under Almora district jurisdiction of Uttarakhand in broad day light.
The video clearly shows the man eater Guldaar pouncing on the women one by one and leaving them in panic, especially when these women after doing acrobatics felling down with a forcible push due to the attack of the man eater are seen screaming loudly out of fear.
When the women were walking on the pathway, a man eater clandestinely hiding behind a temporary stone wall emerged with alertness and pounced upon these women one by one attacking them but within minutes it leaves them in desperation after both of them screamed loudly.
Though we haven’t got the details of the injuries after the attack but on watching the video posted by Jaago Uttarakhand it unambiguously looks that though the attack was for few seconds but the lucky women must have been badly hurt by the paws and jaws of the predator who forcefully pounced and attacked both the women. However, the pictures taken from video are self explanatory.
Meanwhile, on the demand of angered residents and a video going viral in social media the forest n wild life department has brought iron cages and fixed them again vital points where the man eater had attacked two women folks.
