Two tragic deaths and three others grievously injured after a car returning from KEDARNATH crashes with the tractor trolley

A severe accident has occurred on 18 June on the Dehradun Pawunta national highway near Dharamwala, crossing – under the jurisdiction of police station Sahaspur in Dehradun when a speeding tractor trolley crashed into a car killing two pilgrims returning after paying their obeisance to Lord Kedar at KEDARNATH. The car that badly rammed into the tractor trolley had five occupants out if which two died on the spit and three grievously injured. Those died hailed from Himachal Pradesh. All the five were friends and had come to KEDARNATH for religious pilgrimage. All the five friends of Himachal Pradesh had come to KEDARNATH Dham for obeisance of Lord Kedar and were returning back home after visiting some places of Garhwal after paying their obeisance. The dangerous, accident occurred at 6 in the morning of Sunday in Dehradun Paunta national highway when a tractor Trolley smashed into their car. Two young man aged 30 years namely Aman Kumar and another Rajnish aged 27 years died in the spot as it seemed to be a head on collision. Three others Anil Kumar, Mukesh and Vishal aged 30, 31 and 24 years have been admitted to local hospitals and are undergoing treatment. There was tremendous traffic jam on the highway after this dreaded accident. In Uttrakhand accidents have become the order of the day due to blind turns, careless driving, roads in bad condition with potholes, drivers in inebriated condition, long driving hours in buses n heavy trucks etc and several other reasons. Every second day there are accidents taking place and in majority of the accidents the vehicles fall in gorges several meters down leaving no chance of survival of the passengers etc.
