Accidents happen everywhere but in Uttarakhand accidents are extremely disastrous with little chances of survival as in most cases speeding vehicles fall into gorges due to negligent driving or in inebriated condition or on blind turns n narrow roads with potholes n of course in speed.

According to the news coming in, the accident happened at Tirpri Road near Meharban village in Tehri, Garhwal yesterday late night when a Wagon R car fell down due to uncontrolled speed being occupied by three persons coming back home from a marriage ceremony with two on the spot deaths and one man with grievous injuries admitted at Bauradi hospital at Tehri. They were travelling at late night.

After acknowledging the news of this fatal accident at late night hours the SDRF ( State Disaster Response Force) under the leadership of Inspector Arakshi Rawat reached the accidental spot at midnight with the “Humrah rescue team”, and commenced the rescue operation in pitch darkness.

The rescue team of dedicated workers brought the injured man on strecher from the gorge and admitted him to Bauradi hospital via ambulance 108.

The team also brought along the two dead bodies and handed them over to the local police in body bags for further action and handing them to the bereaved families. The police is investigating the matter though it is unambiguously looking to be an accident case.
