Three die in Silogi, Pauri Garhwal car accident with the car bearing the Delhi number
Fatal accidents in Uttarakhand unfortunately have become the order of the day with the government agencies concerned not able to find any solution to this increasing unfortunate trend. Though there are varied reasons for occurrences of these fatal accidents beyond the control of the government but the apathy from the side of the traffic, transport, police and other departments has not brought any degree of halt to these huge tragedies. Fatal accidents by buses, vehicles, Max taxies, school buses, two wheelers, heavy vehicles falling in deep gorges due to excessive speed, driver working without adequate rest, pot holes on roads, blind turns, drivers driving in intoxication, overloading of buses and vehicles, drivers from plains not well versed in driving on mountain roads and above all drivers talking with passengers while driving etc.
Apart from this the lack of iron/ steel guards on the blind turns , stationing police personnel at important points and bus stations to instruct drivers to adhere to traffic and transport rules, checking on the way whether the buses are overloaded or not and PWD department looking after roads to keep them smooth and workable are some of the important points that need to be worked upon by the authorities concerned.
Meanwhile just today another fatal tragedy has occured in Garhwal, Uttarakhand killing three occupants on the spot. The accident occured at Sulogi( Jalhnikhal ) in Pauri Garhwal district with the car badly damaged. The blue coloured Delhi number car DL10CU 6560 met with this fatal accidents.
