Unfortunately, tragedies are the destiny of the mountain dominated states in the Himalayan region. Whether it’s Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, North Eastern Region or the country like Nepal tragedies have become synonym of this states n country especially during the monsoon season when excessive rains or cloudburst incidents lead to overflowing of rivers leading to over flooding, sweeping away human beings, damaging properties and vehicles by abruptly sweeping them away.
Uttarakhand’s ecological disaster of Kedarnath and 2021 ‘s Rishi Ganga Dhauli Ganga over flooding of river Alaknanda Mandakani has taken unaccounted number of tolls.
Similarly, the Nepal’s earthquake has taken massive toll during the same year.
Not a day is left when tragedies do not occur in these hilly areas especially during monsoons as if the nature Gods are badly angry with the people of the hill regions in Himalayan states.
As a sequel to these ongoing tragedies due to ecological disasters and heavy rains during monsoon yet another heart breaking tragedy occured in Nepal where a massive landslide swept away the Kathmandu bound Angel bus and Ganpati Deluxe which were heading from Kathmandu to Rautaha’s Gaur.
According to the latest news the preliminary report suggest that there were 24 passengers in the bus that was going towards Kathmandu and 41 passengers travelling in another bus on the Ganpati Deluxe. Three passengers managed to escape while they jumped from the bus day the news reports.
Last mid night two buses plying on Narayan Ghat Mungling Marg in Chitwan district’s Simaltaal area got swept away due to a massive landslide in view of excessive rains in over flooded n overflowing rapid Trishuli River todes. There were in all 61 to 65 passengers in both the buses.
The rescue operation in Nepal by the Nepal Army, Nepal Police and Armed police force have been carried out on a massive scale along the Muddling Narayan hard Road section. Several teams have been deployed for massive search operation said Bheshraj Rijal DSP . The rains have stopped which would help them to locate the missing persons said the DSP.
According to news reports about a hundred Nepal Army, Armed police and Nepal Army police personnel are engaged in the search operation.
