Two Bhartiya Janata Party members of parliament has joined Congress party within two days and there has been literally no notice of these defection in media especially in electronics media. In one of the messages on social media platform X by Bihar Youth Congress affixing the pictures of both the MPs it is written in Hindi : Since the last two days BJP’s two members of parliament have joined Congress. But why is so much of silence in media ? The question is indeed valid as a simple joining of Congress nonentity is publicised prominently in media to gain mileage said a Congress leader passing a taunt at the saffron party.
The Hisar member of parliament Brijendra Singh had won on BJP ticket in 2019 and is an Indian Administrative Service officer. Resigning from the BJP and joining Congress in the presence of the veteran Congress leader n chief Mallikarjun Kharge , Ajay Makan, Mukul Wasnik and Deepak Babaria etc Former IAS n MP Brijendra Singh attributed his quitting BJP from its primary membership to compelling political reasons. He wrote on social media platform that I have resigned from the primary membership in of the party due to compelling political reasons. I extend my gratitude to the party , national president J.P.Nadda, PM Narendra Modi and home minister Amit Shah for giving me the opportunity to serve as a member of parliament wrote Brijendra Singh in X. He served as Indian Administrative Service for 21 years and resigned thereafter, voluntarily. Having pursued his post graduation from JNU , the great grand son of legendary icon Sir Chotu Ram Brijendra Singh made his debut from Hisar in 2019 when BJP high command offered him the ticket. Another sitting member of parliament from Chru Rajasthan who joined Congress namely Rahul Kaswan was apprehensive that he would be denied ticket this time as the senior party leaders were not picking his phone and repeated calls made to them. He was hurt. He joined Congress party in the presence of Mallikarjun Kharge and Ajay Makan, general secretary AICC at the residence of Mr.Kharge. The national Congress chief filled his form and enrolled him as the life member of Congress welcoming him in the 135 years old party. Those presented on this ocassion were Rajasthan Congress chief Govind Singh Dotsara, Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, State observer n incharge, Tika Ram Julie leader of the opposition. He tweeted : What was my fault, why was I dealt with in such an undignified manner ? Wasn’t I dedicated ? Has I not did my best to do people’s work in my constituency ? I was ahead of everyone in implementing the developmental projects of honourable prime minister. Wasn’t I ? Whenever, I sought clarifications on these issue, all were tight lipped and not responding to my phone. Perhaps my own would be able to respond to this Kaswan wrote on X thanking the PM, Home minister and Party chief Mr.Nadda for giving him opportunity to serve as MP.
