Tributes and final adieu given to eminent socialist leader Mulayam Singh Yadav at Saifai, Ettawah today
The three term chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, former union defence minister, seven term member of parliament, ten terms state lawmaker n a towering leader of the country who was active in politics for the last six decades, a true secularist leader, loved n respected across political spectrum also infamous for the killing of Ram Sewaks and Uttarakhand activists in Mujaffarnagar and several parts of Uttarakhand while he was CM, UP in 1994 including betraying towering leader H. N. Bahuguna when he left him in a huff, Mulaayam Singh Yadav has been consigned to flames on 11 th October in Safai’s Bela ground where thousands of his followers, party activists n general masses paid their final adieu amid raising of slogans hailing their leader. Several important leaders, senior journalists, writers across political spectrum industrialists, actors , MPs, MLAs, party leaders n workers etc participated at the event to pay their respects. Prominent among those present on this ocassion were two chief Ministers of Congress ruled states Ashok Gehlot, Rajasthan, Bhupesh Singh Baghel, Chattisgarh, NCP leaders Sharad Pawar, Praful Patel, Congress leaders Digvijay Singh, Kamalnath, Malikarjun Kharge, Congress presidential candidate etc. The lok sabha speaker Om Birla, was, also there to pay his last respects to the towering leader who was revered by leaders of all political parties. The Union defence minister Rajnath Singh and the mother son duo, MP Jata Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan were also present to pat their respects. The renowned industrialist close to former UP CM Anil Ambani was also there and paid his tributes. The Bela, playground was full of Mulaayam Singh Yadav’s followers in thousands like a sea of humanity. The eminent hindi writer and journalist Ved Pratap Vaidik a close friend of the recessed leader also paid his, tributes to Mulayam Singh Yadav with his association dates back to 1960s. The former CM and son of late Mulayam Singh Yadav lit the pyre of his father giving him his final adieu along with thousands of slogan raising followers viz Netaji Mulayam Singh Yadav Amar rahen, Jab Tak Suraj Chand Rahenhe, Netaji aapka nam rahega etc.
