Tremendous opposition from Harish Rawat’s camp of Dr. Harak Singh Rawat’s entry in Congress. All leaders asked to be in Delhi

Though it is Congress high command’s compulsion to admit Dr. Harak Singh Rawat into the Congress’s fold being backed by anti Harish Rawat camp, the former Congress CM and chief election strategist of Uttarakhand Congress Harish Rawat, his camp followers, Rajya Sabha MP n his protege Pradeep Tamta n Kedarnath lawmaker Manoj Rawat have openly come out against his entry into the party openly speaking out against him terming him an opportunist n corrupt politician who will adversely harm the interest of Congress already coming to power in the ensuing elections.

Meanwhile, the Congress high command has instructed all the Uttarakhand Congress key leaders to stay put in Delhi to finalise all the party tickets n declare the list giving ample time to candidates to campaign in their respective constituencies.

There are also speculations that Dr. Harak Singh Rawat’s entry may also be cleared in a day or two as the anti Harish Rawat camp led by the Uttarakhand Incharge Devendra Yadav, leader of the opposition Pritam Singh including the Uttarakhand Congress chief Ganesh Godiyal etc are trying their best to execute the plan of the expelled leader’s entry into the party, especially when on Tuesday while speaking to media in Delhi Dr. Rawat has unambiguously said that he considers Harish Rawat as his elder brother and ready to seek apologies from him not hundred or one thousand times but even one lakh times.

The Rajya Sabha MP Pradeep Tamta has catagorically accused Dr. Rawat as an opportunist “Dal Badlu”, leader responsible for murdering democracy in 2016 when he along with 9 MLAs of Congress had destabilised the duly elected Congress government defecting to BJP and now wanted to enjoy the fruits of power joining Congress party when he had been expelled from BJP for six years. He added that his entry would damage Congress party’s image to the core.

The infuriated Kedarnath MLA of Congress Manoj Rawat who fears his seat to be at risk if Dr. Harak Singh Rawat joins Congress as he had asked for ticket from Kedarnath while in BJP has strongly criticized Dr. Rawat opposing his entry in Congress appealing to BJP government to also open his recent decisions related files of alleged corruption.

The Uttarakhand Congress’s chief election strategist Harish Rawat is also opposing Dr. Harak Singh Rawat’s entry in Congress asking him to seek apology not only from him but also from the people of Uttarakhand for murdering democracy in 2016 by not only destabilising the duly democratically elected Congress government but also creating bottlenecks in the development works of the state amounting to a great sin.

He has passed on the admission of Dr. Rawat’s matter on central leaders saying that he does not come into the picture at all, clearly indicating that whatever decision is taken by party high command will be acceptable to him though his statements and body language unambiguously indicate his tremendous reservations on Dr. Rawat’s entry into Congress party.

On the other hand there are reports that the Congress president Sonia Gandhi had asked Dr. Rawat to get clearance from Harish Rawat to join the party as the high command is not interested to annoy senior leaders like Harish Rawat who had always been with Congress during its thick and thin.

Harish Rawat and his camp do not rely on Dr. Harak Singh Rawat’s statement of apologies from him as according to them he is like a chameleon who changes colour according to his conveniences as experienced from his past record of desperarely changing parties.

Kindly recall that as per unconfirmed sources Harak Singh Rawat had met Uttarakhand Congress incharge Devendra Yadav n through him Randeep Singh Surjewala n thereafter Priyanka n Sonia Gandhi.

There is also a saying that Dr. Rawat had always been in a party that came to power after his entry, by luck, co incidence or by his calculated defection in the rival parties. He had been saying very often to the media that the party he left has always lost n the party he joined came to power. .

  1. Sir,
Harak Singh Rawat’s fervent desire to enter congress, after being expelled from BJP, has refreshed the memory of Haryana’s “Aya Ram Gaya Ram” politics of ’80s. His entry into congress is most likely to prove fatal for the party. If at all this turncoat-politician gets entry, then there are ample chances of party witnessing revolt within and outside it.
Also as a consequence, morale of chief election strategist of congress, Harish Rawat will stoop to such a low as thwarting the on-going well meaning campaign of party.
