Tragic accident on Kedarnath highway, Max driver Rajesh Rawat resident of Nag Paniyala Ronad Ramoli and other passengers died, passengers from Chhattisgarh were going on Kedarnath Yatra, 4 people injured in the incident.
One passenger including the driver died while four other passengers were injured when a stone suddenly fell on a Max vehicle carrying passengers going on Kedarnath Yatra near Kakadagad on the Gaurikund Highway.
On receiving the information, the SDRF team reached the spot and carried out rescue operation and all the injured were brought to Community Health Centre, Agastyamuni for treatment.
On Friday late evening, a stone suddenly fell on a Max vehicle of hill travellers at Kakadagad, about 30 km from Rudraprayag city on Rudraprayag-Gaurikund highway. There were six passengers including the driver in it. On receiving the information, the DDRF team reached the spot and started rescue work.
The driver of the vehicle died on the spot. While 24-year-old Shailendra Kumar, son of Mohan Lal Yadav, died on the way. The other 4 passengers were brought to the Community Health Center Agastyamuni for treatment through 108 service and local vehicles, where they are undergoing treatment.
DMMO Nandan Singh Rajwar said that the driver, 38-year-old Rajesh Rawat, son of Rai Singh, resident of Nag Paniyala, Lambgaon New Tehri, died on the spot.
While one passenger also died in the incident. Apart from this, 24-year-old Laxman Singh son of Dhaniram Yadav, 24-year-old Omkar Singh son of Virendra Singh, 19-year-old Vipesh Yadav son of Govind Yadav, Chitransh Sahu son of Omkar Sahu resident of District Durg Chhattisgarh were injured.
