Tragic accident at Bhikiyasain after a vehicle falls in a deep gorge killing three of a family on the spot n four severely injured including three children

There is an extremely anguishing and traumatic news about three deaths of a family in a dreaded accident when a vehicle they were travelling in from Ghaziabad to Deghat, fell in a deep gorge Jainal – Deghat motor road after an accident in which three children and a woman was grievously injured admitted in a hospital after first aid treatment at ” Praathmik Upchaar Kenra”, Bhikiyasain, Almora, Uttarakhand. According to the latest news pouring in on 31 March, Thursday, seven family members including three children two women, a son aged 38 years and his father and mother were travelling in a vehicle number UP14, DU – 6348 on Jainal Deghat Road under Bhikiyasen Tehsil fell in a deep gorge sixty metres down killing three of a family father, mother and 38 year old son on the spot with mutilated bodies retrieved by a rescue team and the Bhikiyasen police of Almora district with three children and a woman severely injured. On acknowledging the information the Nayab Tehsildar along with the Bhikiyasain police n rescue team comprising of Bhikiyasain police post incharge Om Prakash Negi, H. C. P. Vijay Singh Rawat, Shamim Ahmed, Shyam, Sunder, Mahendra Kumar, Govind Akholia, Santosh n Nayab Tehseeldaar Divan Giri Goswami and his team reached the accidantal spot and after immense efforts retrieved the dead bodies as well as those injured sending them to the near by Bhikiyasain health centre n thereafter in a nearby hospital. Those who died in this treacherous accident are : Chandra Prakash son of Om Prakash aged 35 years, Deepa Devi wife of Mr. Hemant, Hemant son of Om Prakash aged 38 years. Hemant and Chandra Prakash were both brothers. All the three dead are from the same family. Those severely injured are : Rashmi Devi wife of Chandra Prakash aged 32 years n three children namely Riya, Aarav n Jiya aged 9,8,6 years respectively. All the dead and injured are from Uttaranchal Nagar, Nand Gram, Ghaziabad. Accidents have become the order of the day in Uttarakhand with news of such accidental deaths with speeding vehicles falling in deep gorges appearing day after day. Just yesterday there had been three accidents in Garhwal region with several casualties. The Uttarakhand government should be extremely serious on this front to avoid these accidents by deputing traffic wardens n police at various pivotal points and ensuring the disciplined driving including regular checks on inebriated drivers etc. The traffic norms should be adhered to and drivers of buses, vehicles etc given special training etc to infuse in them a sense of responsible driving in them.
