Tourism and PWD minister Satpal Maharaj today launched several projects in Chowbattakhal, scolding doctors as well for not attending to patients satisfactorily

As the assembly elections are nearing in Uttarakhand the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has been extremely mobile doing number of new launchings and inaugurations of various projects worth hundreds of crores.

There is a possibility of election commission’s code of conduct likely to be imposed in the coming months.

As a result the government wants to announce as much as people welfare projects it can so that they can be implemented before the declaration of Code of conduct.

Taking cue from the chief minister various ministers in Dhami government have also commenced their constituency visits launching new projects to appease their electorates.

As a sequel to these visits, Chowbattakhal MLA and minister of tourism, irrigation, PWD, religion and culture of Uttarakhand visited his constituency and launched several projects worth lakhs of rupees viz oxygen generation plant costing Rs 19 lakh 70 thousand under corporate social responsibility scheme of Oil and Natural Gas Commission, ultrasound machine worth rupees 21 lakhs from the CSR fund of THDC and other works worth Rs five lakhs from his MLA fund.

These projects were launched in the Satpuli’s”, Samyukt chikitsaalay” by Satpal Maharaj on Saturday.

He also checked the attendance registers of the doctors and staff and scolded doctors for being absent from their duties.

Infuriated Satpal Maharaj issued strict warning to the doctors for not being present saying that he had received several complaints from patients for negligence and lack of treatment facilities.

He asked : Had Uttarakhand been made for the sufferings of the local inhabitants. Satpal Maharaj warned that those found negligent towards their respected duties would not be soared at any cost.

In addition to the above Ultrasound machine and Oxygen generation plant, Satpal Maharaj also inaugurated three projects of Rs 2 crores 75 lakhs, one Crore five lakhs and 26 lakhs under NABARD state sector for construction of the wall of fisheries centre under Ekeshwar development block at Satpuli including construction of wall under Kaljikhal block at Jwalpa for security from floods and a wall of Satpuli Girls School under Dwarikhal block for the safety and security of girl students etc.

He also inaugurated schemes of “Sampark Marg” worth Rs 70 thousand from his MLA fund, for village Naugaon near Pitkul at Ekeshwar Motor Marg Marg and Chowbattakhal Rajkuya Mahavidhyalaya.

It may be recalled that a candidate of Aam Admi Party Digmohan Singh Negi had been extremely active in Chowbattakhal constituency for the last two years visiting villages to villages along with his volunteers. The AAP’s chief ministerial face colonel Ajay Kothiyal had also held a grand meeting in this constituency few days ago inviting tremendous positive response in which good number of ex servicemen, youths and women joined Aam Aadmi Party pledging their whole hearted support to colonel Kothiyal and AAP’s Chaubattakhal candidate.
