“Tilu Rauleti, performed with outstanding calibre by the children in Garhwali dialect at Pyare Lal Auditorium
It was indeed an extremely impressive drama enacted by the children of the age of 7 n a half years to 18 at Pyarelal Bhawan Auditorium organised by the Delhi government’s Garhwali, Kumaoni and Jaunsari Academy in Garhwali dialect. The play based on the bravery and sacrifice of a dare devil woman of Garhwal “Tilu Rauteli”, was lauded by one and all. About twenty children participated in this drama and what is worth praising about the children artists is that apart from children from Garhwal, some were from other communities but were trained so proficiently that their dialogue deliveries were appreciated by the audience who were all Uttarakhandies.
The credit for this proficiency in Garhwali dialects by the child artists goes to Garhwali writer n linguist Ramesh Ghildiyal and director Suvarn Rawat who gave twenty days to these children of different communities coaching them in acting as well as Garhwali dialect. The chairman of the Garhwali Kumaoni n Jaunsari Academi presented certificates of appreciation to the outstanding child artists of Tilu Rauteli and also the director, assistant director and Garhwali language specialist. The Pyarelal Bhawan was full of audience cheering the acting n Garhwali, Kumaoni languages’ proficient child artists for their outstanding performance. This was the first day of the show n two dramas in Kumaoni and Garhwali plays were enacted. Daily two plays will be enacted till 9 th of July. The basic purpose of the Garhwali, Kumaoni and Jaunsari Academy, Delhi government is to fine tune the hidden acting talents of the children and to propagate the Uttarakhand’s languages in the national capital. Kudos.
