Three persons died on the spot and five grievously injured after a vehicle plunged into a deep gorge in Almora district
An extremely tragic heart wrenching news is coming in from Almora about a serious accident in which three persons have died on the spot sending shock waves all around. According to the latest news a car carrying several persons coming from a marriage function at Taluka area on Bageshwar road near Basoli in Almora district plunged in a deep gorge .
The driver of the car is believed to have lost the control and the car carrying eight passengers plunged in deep gorge taking several twists and hitting the hills completely damaged as if smashed with a heavy machine resulting in three on the spot deaths and five persons grievously injured.
The number of the car is DL9CBH8402. As soon as the news of this accident spread around – the SDRF team from Sariyaoani post immediately reached the accidental spot and started the relief operations to retrieved the injured and the dead persons.
The sub Inspector Pankaj Dangwal was leading the relief operation. All the grievously injured were ferried to Taluka hospital in the Ambulance 108 and rendered all possible treatment. The three dead bodies were sent for post mortem. There is an atmosphere of shock and trauma all around.

2. Dinesh Ram (50), son of Til Ram, resident of Takula, Almora district
3. Rehan, son of Mahesh Arya (11 months), resident of Takula, Almora district

1. Jaya, wife of Mahesh Ram (25)
2. Gopal Ram, son of Sher Ram (50)
3. Sanjay, son of Balram (21)
4. Mahesh Arya, son of Jaswant Ram (25)
The driver is Arjun Kumar, a resident of South Delhi.
