Three judges appointed to top court

The Supreme Court of India’s collegium on Monday recommended an appointment of three new judges to the apex court and they are the chief justice of High Court of Karnataka N.V Anjaria, chief justice of Gauhati High Court Vijay Bishnoi and Bombay High Court’s chief justice A.S.Chadurkar. This was informed by the union law minister Arjun Megwal on his social media handle X writing : In exercise of the powers conferred by the Constitution of India, the President, after consultation with Chief Justice of India, is pleased to appoint S/Shri Justices (i) N.V. Anjaria, Chief Justice, High Court of Karnataka, (ii) Vijay Bishnoi, Chief Justice, High Court of Gauhati and (iii) A.S. Chandurkar, Judge, High Court of Bombay as Judges of the Supreme Court of India. According to the news reports the names of the three judges to supreme Court have been recommended following the retirement of three SC judges viz Ex. Chief Justice of India Sanjeev Khanna, Justices Abhay S. Oka and Hrishikesh Roy.
