Three girls aspirants of Civil Services die of axphyxiation after the basement fills with rainwater !
Three young Civil services aspirants have tragically died inside a basement of Rao’s Study Circle at Rajendra Nagar sending shock waves all over the national capital and the nation. The tragic deaths came when about twenty students were inside the coaching centre’s basement at Rajendra Nagar and tremendous filthy water filled inside the basement resulting in the death of three due to axphyxiation after water entering their bodies with three injured being treated and rest of fourteen alright. The NDRF has claimed of recovering three dead bodies from the basement sent for postmortem with three others injured. Such a tragedy happening inside a basement in Rajinder Nagar’s Rao Study Circle in a national capital has raised an outrage among Delhites with students of the coaching centre n those of other coaching centres protesting demanding the arrest of the Director of Rao Study Circle and the MCD authority official responsible for this serious lapse. It may be recalled that hundreds of coaching centres are operating in Delhi’s Rajendra Nagar, Shakti Nagar, Mukherjee Nagar, Laxmi Nagar , Shakarpur etc where the owners of PG accomodation and Coaching centres of civil services aspirants are minting tremendous monetary profits but facilities are negligible with squeezed streets, aspirants seeking coaching in basements and squeezed rooms etc with no check of authorities responsible to maintain norms. The way as per the statement of Rajendra Nagar legislator Durgesh Pathak the underground drainage pipe has broken abruptly due to the rain water pressure and expeditiously filled the basement resulting in three young deaths speaks of the negligence on the part of the authorities concerned. It is an open secret in Delhi that during monsoons the water clogging takes place tremendously in almost entire Delhi localities due to over filling of drains, obstacle n blockade of drains’ outlets and the employees , officers of flood control department, MCD, Delhi Jail Board literally doing nothing. The three civil services aspirants who died so tragically inside the basement due to the overfilling are Tania Soni, Shreya Yadav, (both 25 ) and Navin Delvin 28. There is tremendous outrage outside the tragedy venue. The protestors are asking who is accountable for this serious lapse ? If in just thirty minutes of rain a basement is filled and three aspirants of civil services die n three seriously injured then who is responsible asked the protestors ? The Delhi minister Atishi Marlena has ordered a magisterial enquiry. Two persons have been arrested under the charges of culpable homicide another charges of negligence etc said the DCP Central Harshvardhan Singh. The Delhi Mayor Shelly Oberoi has expressed her shock over the incident and called for a thorough enquiry in the tragedy to bring the culprits to book. Kindly recall that there was a fire in Mukherjee Nagar coaching centre months ago and the students have to literally jump from the burning building with several burnt inside the coaching centre.
