Three day Pauri Sharadotsav concluded. Iconic singer Narendra Singh Negi was the star attraction with hundreds of people dancing to the tunes of his songs and mesmerising music
Finally, the three day Sharadotsav, held every year at the historic Ram Lila Ground concluded today with hundreds of residents of Pauri township and the surrounding villages enjoying the celebrations to the hilt.
This three days Sharaotsav, held in the month of December, the advent of winters , was organised as usual by the business community of Pauri township.
Good number of cultural events were organised during the three days celebration with iconic singer and legendary musician recipient of the prestigious Sahitya Academy Award at the hands of the president Draupadi Murmu Narendra Singh Negi, his wife Usha Negi and their entourage were the main attraction of Sharadotsav.
Hundreds of enthusiastic youths, the women, men including people from all walks of life participated in this celebration enjoying the melodious songs and mesmerising music of legendary singer Narendra Singh Negi and Anil Bisht including Usha Negi etc, also dancing to their musical tunes.
The inauguration of the third day of the show was done by the Pauri Garhwal MLA Raj Kumar Pori and the Zila Panchayat President Kesar Singh Negi in the presence of Narendra Singh Negi paying singing tributes to the Pauri Town’s most revered ancient deity Kandoliya Devta.
The legendary singer and Garhwali poet Narendra Singh Negi Folk singer known as Garh Ratna started the event with the praise of his Bhumiyaal deity Kandolia Baba. He gave his new popular song “Rajinama Kaija”, “Tu hi meri Saunjiana”, “Sakeena Hara in the middle of Malu Guryalu”, “Tilaiya Dharu Bola” while folk singer Anil Bisht presented “Chaita ki Chaiteli”, “Meri Madhuli Har Harchia Gaya Dehradun Ma”, one after the other colorful and mesmerising melodious songs.
The enthusiastic spectators despite tremendous cold thoroughly enjoyed cultural programs during the festival.
Extremely jubilant Narendra Singh Negi said that such events are highly commendable for preserving the cultural heritage of Pauri and he got a lot of energy from the audience here because the cultural city of Pauri was also his birthplace and place of work and he started his career in theatre from this Ramlila stage.
Expressing his thanks to the enthusiastic audience Narendra Singh Negi said you have come here in the extreme cold to listen to me with great eagerness.
Apart from this, folk singer Anil Bisht also made the audience dance with his songs.
In the end, the President of Vyapar Sabha, Vinay Sharma expressed his gratitude to the guests and the audience and said that the way the people of Pauri supported him immensely, the program was a huge success.
Folk singers Narendra Singh Negi and Anil Bisht were honoured with mementoes and shawls. The cultural stage programme was hosted by the well-known announcer Ganesh Khugshaal “Gani”. The Pauri Mahotsav, organised by the Vyapar Sabha Pauri, was hosted by Virendra Khankariyal.
