Three aspirants for Himachal CM’s post with MP and chief of the state Pratibha Singh having better chances !

After the comfortable victory of Congress party in Himachal Pradesh though badly performing in Gujarat and Delhi, the exercise has been commenced for the new chief minister of this himalayan state.

The Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi had been tremendously instrumental in making the Congress party victorious in HP despite Rahul Gandhi not able to campaign due to his pre occupation in Bharat Jodo Yatra and her mother Sonia Gandhi due to her wavering health.

The three names that are being discussed for the post of the chief minister of Himachal Pradesh are Pratibha Singh, Sukjinder Singh Such and Mukesh Agnihotri. The first and foremost aspirant is Pratibha Singh who is the state party chief and wife of former CM late Veer Bhadra Singh who had also been chiefly instrumental in making the party’s victorious in Himachal Pradesh. She had won as Lok Sabha MP from Mandi defeating Maheshwar Singh. She is currently the Lok Sabha MP and is of the opinion that as per people’s liking she should be the CM of the state as the state inhabitants have tremendous respect for her late husband and former CM CM Veer Bhadra Singh who had been highly instrumental in contributing for the state’s all round development during his several tenures as CM.

Another aspirant for the state’s CM post is the three term MLA Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu who was the state Congress chief and present chief of the state election campaign committee.

According to sources he is also being considered as a strong bet having contested from Nadaun seat, though the consent of the central gigh command is final in the choice of the future CM.

Another aspirant whose name is doing rounds as a prospective CM is Mukesh Agnihotri who’d contested the election from Haroli Assembly constituency. He had been the lawmaker from this constituency for four term incessantly.

However, his constituency before delimitation was called Santokgarh. He got elected in 2003 for the first time as lawmaker. Mukesh Agnihotri was after 2017 assembly election elected the Congress leader of the house in the assembly.
