Thousands of UKD activists protest at Dehradun demanding stringent action against the erring minister Aggrawal for abusing Uttarakhandies in Assembly
The position of the Bhartiya Janata Party in Uttarakhand seems to be in jeopardy after the most controversial finance and parliamentary affairs minister Prem Chand Aggrawal’s indecent remarks against the Uttarakhandies in the State assembly the other day. While there have been unaccounted number of effigy burning protest demonstrations in various parts of Uttarakhand , at the state capital Dehradun thousands of Uttarakhand Kranti Dal activists today confronted with the heavy police force while marching at the residence of Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami raising slogans against the BJP government and the erring minister demanding his immediate unceremonious ouster and taking legal action against him for expressing derogatory remarks against the Uttarakhand community and not relenting thereafter despite massive protests and his condemnation.
There were hundreds of police personnel deputed with heavy barricades busy in physically confronting the agitationists who forcibly wanted to break the police cordon and meet the chief minister to register their protests , deeply hurd by the indecent remarks against them by the BJP controversial minister who had earlier thrashed one Negi on Rishikesh roads with a video going viral leading to several protests.
Hundreds of women and youths especially the Uttarakhand Kranti Dal activists marched towards the CM’s house and literally confronted with the police.
The Uttarakhand police had a very hard day dealing with thousands of processionists.
Meanwhile the Uttarakhand BJP chief and rajyasabha MP Mahendra Bhatt literally threatened everyone of stringent legal action who are raising this issue saying that those writing on social media with be dealt with severely obviously meaning that he is trying to crush the people’s democratic opinion though no action is being taken against their minister who has publicly accused the entire Uttarakhand community in the assembly, n unconstitutional act that invites his reprimand.
He said that he will complaint the matter to the CM and apply check on all those writing in social media. This is a clear cut attempt of BJP MP and state BJP chief to stifle and crush the democratic voice of the people said Congress leaders.
