Thousands of tonnes of hard silt dump at Nigambodh ghat on Yamuna bank exposes the tall claims of clean Yamuna

So much is being talked about cleanliness of the most polluted Yamuna river right from the tenure of Congress regime Sheila Dikshit to Arvind Kejriwal to the present saffron regime led by Rekha Gupta as Delhi CM whose party came to power after twenty seven years. During the election campaigns and after the BJP coming to power in Delhi lot has been said about cleaning of the polluted Yamuna river and the present CM alongwith her ministers and the entire entourage held a Aarti, a spiritual practice claiming to have cleared the polluted Yamuna of all the pollutants even showing a machine functioning in the Yamuna cleaning it incessantly. Thousands of crores have been spent on the cleanliness of polluted Yamuna river but unfortunately we are at square one today. However, when I personally visited the banks of the polluted Yamuna at Nigam bodh Ghat , the crematorium I was shocked to seea big portion of the rivers bank completed filled with thousands of tonnes of silt with rubbish creating lot of problems for the people to burn the dead bodies on the side of the Yamuna. The massive dump of muck or silt now completely dried having taken the shape of a Moren has not been cleared by the employees of the concerned departments , either of MCD or Delhi government. Hardly matters as both inCD and Delhi , the BJP is functioning. On enquiring about this massive quantam of muck, it was revealed that this is lying here since the Yamuna was over flooded and the Nigam Bodh ghat was filled with gushing flood water. Lots of days has passed but the massive dump on the entire stretch of Nigambodh ghat crematorium is full of this hard rubbish not cleared till yet which definitely will go into the river Yamuna if it rains again. This massive dump has compelled those bringing the dead bodies for consigning them to flames to do the needful on the upper side not on the banks of Yamuna thus leading to shortage of space and congestion. This is how the authorities concerned are apathetic towards their responsibilities this throwing to winds all the claims made by the ministers about the clean Yamuna in Delhi.
