This year students of Trivendrum Kerala secured 99.91 % followed by Bengaluru securing 98.64% , Chennai 97.40% and Delhi West securing 93.24% in CBSE exams !

The results of Central Board of Secondary education has been out today and enthusiastic, students boys and girls at the pan India level were busy seeing their results. Some are happy some are disappointed. This year out of the total 16,80256 students who’d registered for the examination 1660511 appeared at the pan India level in 12 th class exams and 1450174 students had passed. The students who got compartment in the 12th CBSE exams this year had been 1.25 lakhs 705 in numbers and total number of schools which conducted these examinations were 16,728.
According to the CBSE while the results were declared today the exams were held in February 15 th. What’s the difference about these exams and their results this time is that the CBSE toppers list this year will not be released. Sounds different and unusual. However, this decision has been taken in view of avoiding the unhealthy competition among students. The CBSE Board had earlier decided not to release the toppers and merit list of the students in order to avoid unhealthy competition among them. In addition to this the board is also not awarding the 1 st division, 2 nd division or 3 rd division to the students who’d qualified these exams working so hard.
However, as per the press release of CBSE it will definitely issue the merit certificate to 0.1% students who’d scored highest marks in the subjects.
According to a new policy the admissions in colleges would be given on the basis of outstanding performances in the entrance tests to be conducted before admission session starts as per the specification fixed by the universities n prospective colleges called the CVT entrance test etc.
The CBSE has given opportunity to students wishing to get their papers rechecked or re – evaluation on the payment of Rs. 1000 per paper.
Meanwhile, A brilliant girl of MSG school living in Rohini, originally from Badovala Dehradun, in Sahaspur assembly constituency Shivanshi Raturi has secured outstanding 97% marks in 12 th class CBSE board. According to her father she has secured topper rank in Delhi NCR and also stood first in MSG.
She has undoubtedly brought laurels for the state and Delhi NCR. A future civil servant Shivanshi wants to be an IAS and shall be commenting her preparations from now itself despite her being a vivacious reader at such a young age. Heartiest congratulations !
Though this year’s CBSE result has been outstanding as other previous years but the overall passed percentage had dropped this year by 5.38% to 87,33% compared to previous year’s 92.71%.
According to the Financial Express Education tweet this year the highest performance was recorded by the students of Trivendrum Kerala at 99.91 % followed by Bengaluru securing 98.64% , Chennai 97.40% and Delhi West securing 93.24%.
