Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi enhanced the morale of his sister Priyanka Gandhi after she was taken into preventive custody today by Sitapur police who allegedly manhandled her and then arrested putting her in a filthy room where the national general secretary and daughter of Nehru Gandhi family sweeped the floor with a broom. The Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi after her arrest accused the state home minister and his son for the deteriorating riotous situation in Lakhimpur Khiri through a tweet writing in Hindi: The central minister n his son is responsible for the deteriorating political situation in Lakhimpur Khiri. She questioned : Why is BJP government protecting them? Instead of arresting us the government should show alertness in taking action against the BJP leaders tweeted Priyanka Gandhi.
In order to enhance the spirits and morale of Priyanka Gandhi, her brother n former Congress chief tweeted in Hindi : Priyanka, I know you won’t back track – they are afraid by your courage. In the peaceful non violent war of the nation we will for sure make the farmers ( Anndataaas) win ultimately tweeted Rahul Gandhi.
Kindly recall that Priyanka Gandhi and M P, Hooda from Haryana, had started from Delhi to Lakhimpur Khiri this morning but Priyanka Gandhi and member of parliament Hooda were taken under preventive custody allegedly manhandling them for no fault of theirs. Priyanka Gandhi demanded for judicial orders or her arrest warrants before stopping her to go ahead , but of no avail.
She questioned can anyone stop anybody to go to wipe the tears of the anguished bereaved families of the deceased farmers. She was arrested and put in a simple room at Sitapur.
It may be recalled that during Janata Party rule in 1979 , Priyanka’s grandmother then in opposition during Janata party government rule had gone to Belchi to wipe the tears of Dalit families whose several members were killed by upper landlords. Indira Gandhi has gone on an Elephant making headlines in the newspapers of entire country. She had staged back to power after few months.
