There may be two board exams for tenth class in a year. Draft ready !

Can anyone believe that there can be two board exams in a year of any class ? But, yes this will happen in the near future. The Central Board of Secondary Education has on Tuesday given its official consent to the new decision of holding two board exams of class tenth in a year. This decision will come into effect from the year 2026.
According to the latest news the CBSE senior officials said that the entire matter related to this decision has been prepared and will be placed for public consumption also inviting the views publicly to be submitted by 9 th March to the CBSE for it against or with necessary amendments.
The policy in this regard will finally be given the formal shape ready to be released by the year 2026.
According to the draft rules, the first phase of Class 10 board exams will be conducted from February 17 to March 6, 2026, while the second phase will be conducted from May 5 to May 20, 2026 whereas practicals and internal assessments will be conducted only once a year.
A senior board official said, “Both the exams will cover the entire syllabus. Students will be allotted the same examination center for both the phases.
According to sources the examination fees will be increased and students will be charged fees for both the examinations at the time of filing applications.” According to the official, “The first and second stages of the board examination will also serve as supplementary examinations and no special examination will be conducted under any circumstances.”
The board has also decided that no separate certificate will be issued after the completion of the first examination in February-March. The final passing certificate and mark sheet will be released only after the May examination.
