The magic of “Pandav Bharat” dominates in Delhi. “Draupadi ko Narain” and “Mor-Maurayan” impressed one and all

“Draupadi ko Narain” and “Mor-Maurayan” were staged in the Pandava and mask dance folk theatre styles at Delhi’s Mukt dhara Auditorium.
The audience praised the grand production, directed by Uttarakhand’s renowned folk singer, Dr. Kusum Bhatt.
The way Kusum brought together the youth to present the traditional Uttarakhandi style was commendable.
At the conclusion of the folk drama, the audience stood up from their seats and applauded for a long time. This was a testament to how vibrant the performance was.
Some traditional folk songs of Garhwal were used in this folk drama, but to give it a stage form, Dr. Kusum herself composed some songs on the same traditional tunes.
This presentation showed that if a good team presents in the traditional style with some new experiments, then the audience, especially the youth, gets attracted.
The program was co-directed by Aryan Kathayat and conducted by Rahul Sati.
This program was organized by the Garhwali, Kumaoni and Jaunsari Academy of the Delhi Government. The Secretary of the Academy, Sanjay Garg, praised the program and said that such programs show that the hill community is connected to its culture even while living in Delhi.
Lakshmi Rawat, Padmendra Rawat, D.S. Sugada, Rakesh Singh, Ravi Verma, Gajendra Chauhan, Shailendra Maithani, Radha Ballabh etc. participated in it as guests.
