The government may table the proposals for Sakht Bhu Kanoon in Uttarakhand Assembly submitting to a wide social media campaign
There are reports that in view of the fast approaching elections, the Uttarakhand government may table the proposal for a new concrete land act in the Uttarakhand assembly on 9 th and 10 th December at Dehradun, finally bowing down to the massive demands of various social organisations, NGOs and regional political parties including the Sakht Bhu Kanoon Andolan Samittee launched by one of the founders of Aam Admi Party in Uttarakhand.
Speaking to UKnationnews referring to the dispatch of Dainik Jagran the convenor of Sashakt Bhu Kanoon Andolan Samittee Prabhat Kumar Karal said that after withdrawing the law on Devasthanam Board by the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on the recommendation of Manohar Kant Dhyani Committee, the BJP led government of Uttarakhand is tabling the proposals of Bhumi Sudhar Samittee of the Uttarakhand government in the assembly on 9 th and 10 th December as there is tremendous pressure on the saffron ruling political dispensation by the massive campaign launched by various socio political organisations also supported by major opposition party Congress and Aam Admi party including the Uttarakhand Kranti Dal and Uttarakhand Raksha Morcha.
It may be recalled that the Uttarakhand Kranti Dal has extended its open support to the demand for new concrete land act in Uttarakhand including the Sakht Bhu Kanoon Andolan Committee and Uttarakhand Civil society which is leading the 1000 kilometres mobilisation campaign in entire Garhwal, Kumaon and Jaunsar areas to be converged at Dehradun on 25 th December.
During the 15 days Sakht Bhu Kanoon Yatra the volunteers of various socio political organisations will also burn the copies of old LACHAR BHU KANOON in every district of Uttarakhand to register their protest including address the meetings to mobilise the local populace.
The Uttarakhand Raksha Morcha led by its President Dr Vinod Bahuguna has also organised number of protest demonstrations in Uttarakhand in support of Concrete Land Act demand on the lines of Himachal Pradesh and appealed to the masses to wholeheartedly support this demand that is adversely affecting the demography of the state.
According to a member of the government of Uttarakhand’s Bhoomi Sudhar Samittee Ajay, under the chairmanship of the former chief secretary of Uttarakhand Subhash Kumar, the proposal will be submitted to Uttarakhand government which may table the proposal for a concrete land act in the Uttarakhand Assembly being convened on 9 th December at Dehradun.
Actually the demand for a concrete land act for Uttarakhand gained momentum after the ceiling on 12.5 acres of land purchase was lifted during the former chief minister of Uttarakhand Trivendra Singh Rawat’s, tenure for industrial purposes enabling ultra rich purchasing large tracts of land in Mussourie, Nainital, Dehradun, Udham Singh Nagar n various prime areas of the himalayan state.
The campaign gained tremendous momentum in social media, print and electronics media with several organisations holding protest meetings and campaigns at the ground level mobilising vast population of Uttarakhand, denouncing the BJP government.
Not only in Uttarakhand but in metropolises of Delhi n Mumbai too the demand gained momentum with people of Uttarakhand origin residing outside the state raising this demand on Twitter, Facebook and whatsApp groups extensively, finally compelling the Uttarakhand chief minister to constitute a Bhoomi Sudhar Samittee led by the former chief secretary of Uttarakhand Subhash Kumar.
