The Devbhoomi Icon Award 2025 honored talents and focused on social concerns.

Climate change, animal cruelty, environmental protection, Green India, drug eradication, and cybercrime were discussed.

Gadarpur. The Devbhoomi Icon Award 2025 program, organized by Kumaon Kesari, brought together Uttarakhand’s talents, social workers, and inspiring personalities on one platform. Talents who have made significant contributions in various fields were honored on this occasion. The main objective of the program was to recognize and honor hidden talents and raise public awareness about social concerns.

The program began with the lighting of a lamp at Bajaj College of Management and Technology. The lighting of the lamp was done jointly by Police Circle Officer Vaibhav Saini, Chief Guest Yoga Guru Sohit Yogi, Dr. Pradeep Yogi, College MD Pawan Bajaj, international athlete Mukesh Pal, and celebrity guest Simran Kaur. Special sessions were held on topics such as Green India, animal cruelty, drug eradication, and cybercrime awareness.

At the event, the Uttarakhand Culture Department’s Chholiya dance troupe mesmerized the audience with their traditional Chholiya dance. Meanwhile, Dance Ally’s director Sheena Thukral’s team gave a captivating performance of Punjabi songs. The entire auditorium reverberated with applause.

In his address, Kumaon Kesari editor Pradeep Futala said, “Our aim is to provide a platform for hidden talents that can inspire society. With courage and determination, no challenge is too great.” He explained that the purpose of this event is not merely to bestow honors, but to initiate positive change in society.

Three differently-abled athletes were specially honored at the event, who, through their talent, proved that limitations exist only in thinking. On this occasion, Police Circle Officer Vaibhav Saini discussed the growing trend of drug abuse and cybercrime in detail, saying, “Today, criminals are adopting new methods to defraud people through social media. The best way to protect against this is awareness and caution.”

The Devbhoomi Icon Awards honored talents in various categories, including Yoga Ratna, Samaj Ratna, Business Ratna, Literature Ratna, Environment Ratna, and Media Ratna. Prominent honorees included yoga guru Sohit Yogi, Dr. Pradeep Yogi, Lal Badshah, Manoj Gumber, Lucky Khan, Simran Kaur, Parveen Khan, Sandeep Duggal, Mukesh Pal, Deepak Munjal, Padmashree physician Balendu Prakash, KP Singh Vikal, Madan Singh Bisht, Kamal Goswami, Harvinder Singh Chugh, CM Papne, Gopal Arora, Tanisha Chawla, Vikas Taneja, Nishant Singhal, Captain Rakesh Prasad Verma, and Neeru Ghai.

Guests at the event praised the Kumaon Kesari team, saying that this event is an inspiring initiative to recognize Uttarakhand’s true talent. The event proved that the land of the gods is defined by its talent, tradition, and inspiration.
