Though the largest poll in the world with 65 crore electorates participating in the election festivity every five years has come to an end and results almost declared with prime minister Narendra Modi to repeat for the third time in succession, one thing has unambiguously indicated that Modi charisma , Ram temple polarisation and saffron party’s tall claims related rhetorics including distribution of five kg free ration to 85 crore individuals and Rs 6000 being deposited in the farmers account every year etc haven’t worked majorly with BJP getting merely 233 to 240 Lok Sabha seats, thirty three or more less to reach 272 majority number on its own ( individually).
In 2019, the Bharatiya Janata Party had secured a whopping majority of 303 on its own with the BJP led NDA strength being 353 in total.
Even in the largest state of Uttar Pradesh where Modi and Yogi charisma had played a highly impressive n vital role , the saffron party had secured 64 Lok Sabha seats out of eighty.
But this time , the BJP which was solely banking on this largest state to increase its tally, has to confide to just 33 seats whereas its immediate opponents Samajwadi Party has secured 36 seats and Congress eight, compelling the BJP’s top leaders including PM Modi and Yogi Adityanath bite their nails under the teeths.
What is absolutely interesting is the fact that the dedication, grit, determination and commitment of Rahul Gandhi who had undertaken Padyatras n Nyay Yatras of almost entire country walking on foot and in car meeting people of cross section of the society discussing and interacting on burning local and national issues like unemployment, inflation, health sector, Agniveer, corruption, rhetorics and lies of the ruling political dispensation and communal disharmony including religious polarisation etc has brought concrete results proving the hard fact that countrymen, especially women and youth wanted the change. However, it couldn’t succeed but brough good number of seats to strongly challenge the ruling BJP led NDA.
Till now, the BJP led NDA has secured victory on 293 seats and Congress led INDIA on 233 but one thing is absolutely clear that a party and its top leader, prime minister Narendra Modi who was publicly talking of crossing four hundred numbers emphatically and repeatedly, has badly failed to secure even 240 seats individually , now depending on the mercy of the NDA partners not knowing whether they will solidly stand behind him or detract, now or lateron.
Now the prime minister Narendra Modi will have to solely depend on the support of Telugu Desam Party, Nitish Kumar and his JDU and several other alliance partners knowing very well that they can ditch him at any point of time in the near future.
Today the prime minister had gone to meet the Telugu Desam Party leader Chandrababu Naidu and yesterday the Bihar CM and JD (U) leader had a meeting with the PM assuring his support probably.
According to the latest tally the Bharatiya Janata Party has won on 237 seats with Congress securing victory on 101 LS seats. The Samajwadi Party got 36 seats while the Trinamool Congress 30. The regional Party of the South in Tamil Nadu DMK secured 21 seats while Janata Dal United won on 14 seats. The Rashtriya Janata Dal of Lalu Yadav got 4 Lok Sabha seats whereas Aam Admi Party won on three seats in all. The Yuvaka Sramika party secured four seats whereas the Telugu Desam Party secured triumph on 15 seats with Ram Vilas Paswan winning on five seats in Bihar etc.
There are news reports that Telugu Desam Party chief shrewd Chandra Babu Naidu is not responding to the phone calls of PM Narendra Modi and union home minister Amit Shah. Political analysts are saying that RSS may not support prime minister Narendra Modi this time and may go for another suitable candidate like Ntin Gadkari. Meanwhile, Congress party and INDIA alliance is thinking to entice Nitish Kumar and Chandrababu Naidu who may be offered PM ship with Congress giving them outside support in order to keep the BJP at bay. Though these are mere assumptions.
There are every possibility of Prime minister Narendra Modi forming his government being the largest party with 340 seats, for the third consecutive terms, though there will be lot of struggle for bringing the alliance partners in confidence and also seeking the support of seven independents whose chances of joining or supporting NDA are quite strong.
