New Delhi, 03 July 2023: The Indian Youth Congress activists today protested against the silence of PM Modi on the Manipur issue under the leadership of National President of Youth Congress the BJP government in Manipur. On this occasion, the national president of Indian Youth Congress Srinivas BV said that the Prime Minister can travel in the metro, hold election rallies in Madhya Pradesh, sabotage in Maharashtra, but Manipur is burning for almost 60 days, he neither can speak a word, nor visit Manipur nor appeal for peace, Why?
National President of Indian Youth Congress Srinivas BV said that instead of extinguishing the fire of hatred in the state, when will the BJP government of Manipur be dismissed? When will President’s rule be imposed there? Today the people of the country are asking this question, but the central government and the Prime Minister are completely silent on this critical issue.
Prime Minister Modi can do event management program, but Manipur, which is burning in the fire of hatred in our own country for almost 60 days, he is not at all concerned about that, Why questioned Sriniwas, chief of ITC.
Srinivas BV also said that when violence has to be stopped then the government is stopping Shri Rahul Gandhi . Rahul was stopped even while going to Hathras, Lakhimpur, but history is witness that wherever Rahul ji sets out to go, he definitely reaches there.
IYC chief also demanded that the BJP government in Manipur should be dismissed and President’s rule should imposed at the earliest and at the same time the Prime Minister should break his silence on Manipur, all militant groups in Manipur should be immediately disarmed , constitutional action be taken, and the Central Government should provide relief, rehabilitation and livelihood package to the affected people without any delay as the announced relief package is inadequate.
Today many workers of Indian Youth Congress under the leadership of National President Srinivas BV assembled near Shastri Bhawan, but Delhi Police tried to stop everyone by barricading and many including Srinivas BV were detained by the police.
During this National General Secretary of Indian Youth Congress and In-charge of Delhi Coco Padhi, National Secretary Mohd. Shahid, Satyawan Gehlot, Delhi Pradesh Youth Congress President Ranvijay Singh Lochav were present in the protest today.
