Ten day NYAY Yatra to seek justice for late Kiran Negi and distressed women of the country to commence from Delhi on 19 th February!

A ten Day ” NYAY YATRA” by the volunteers and social activists of various organisations active in Delhi, NCR – organised by Matrabhumi Sewa Party is to commence on 19 th February from Delhi- Chawla, Sangam Vihar , Burari Vinod Nagar and Brij Vihar Ghaziabad finally converging at Kausani, Someshwar Almora and Chitai Goljyu Temple at Kumao seeking blessings from the popular deity Goljyu Devta to seek justice for late Kiran Negi and her anguished and traumatised family who have been relentlessly struggling for the last ten years but of no avail – as the dreaded culprits, three in number were released by honourable apex court in the month of November 2022 blaming the Delhi Police for faulty and patchy investigations leaving several loopholes in the case. The organiser of this NYAY Yatra which is of several hundred kilometres in the hilly terrains of Uttarakhand mobilising people at large will also raise the issue of late Ankita Bhandari and other distressed women of the country ensuring that the culprits of both late Ankita Bhandari and Kiran Negi are brought to justice at the earliest. This nine days “Justice Journey”, (NYAY Yatra) which will commence on 19 th February from Delhi and Ghaziabad simultaneously will pass through various main localities of Dehradun, Rishikesh, Rani Pokhri, Kotdwar, Gumkhal, Satpuli, Ekeshwar, Gurad, Sanglakoti,Pokhda, Gawani, Chowbattakhal, Navgaonkhal, Jwalpa, Paidul, Parsundakhal, Paudi, Dobh Shrokot, the village of victim Ankita Bhandari, Srinagar, Rudraprayag, Karnaprayag, Dharali, Boonga, Gwaldam, Baijnath, Tharali, Kausani, Someshwar, Almora, and finally at Chitai, Goljyu devta Temple. The organisers and participants will distribute handbills and other material related to late Kiran Negi case and will mobilise people to unite in order to fight for justice to the traumatised women victims of the state n the country courageously sending the hardened culprits of Kiran Negi and Ankita Bhandari to gallows. Kindly recall that while late Nirbhaya of Najafgarh was abducted on February 9 from Najafgarh in 2012 and then gang raped and brutally murdered in Haryana territory – the 19 year old Ankita Bhandari was killed on September 18 th, 2022 by the owner of Vanantara resort at Chilla barrage along with two other culprits by brutally thrashing and throwing her in the river. While the killers of Ankita Bhandari are behind bars, the convicts of late Kiran Negi, three in numbers, earlier given capital punishment by Dwarka, Delhi sessions Court in 2014 and then upheld by Delhi High Court a year later were acquitted in November, 2022 by honourable Supreme Court, dashing all hopes of the relentlessly struggle poor parents for more than a decade. However, three review petition filed in the apex Court by her parents, Uttarakhand Lok Manch and Delhi Police have now been admitted by the hon’nle chief justice of India, raising optimism for justice.
