Ashish Negi gets bail. Received by party leaders giving him a rousing welcome. Ashutosh Negi’s bail application to be heard on 11 April

The chief of the youth wing of Uttarakhand Kranti Dal, a regional oldest political party of Uttarakhand has finally come out of the prison after being granted bail by the sessions judge on the ground that the charges leveled against them are fictitious and give the impression of being vindictive in nature. The UKD activist Ashish Negi , journalist, advocate and UKD’s spokesman Ashutosh Negi and one other activist were remanded to fourteen days judicial remand earlier. The bail application of Ashutosh Negi will be heard on April 11 said the team of lawyers representing him and Ashish Negi as there is another case pending against him. Vociferous activist and UKD spokesman Ashutosh Negi is already on bail in a case filed against him earlier under the SCST act when he was proactive in Ankita Bhandari struggle demanding lodging of FIR against the VIP named by the mother of late Ankita Bhandari while she was on hunger strike in Srinagar several months ago including staging a protest Dharna. UKD’s youth wing’s chief Ashish Negi was accorded a rousing welcome by Uttarakhand Kranti Dal activists at Rishikesh and Dehradun after he came out of the jail after being in judicial remand for several days. From the jail Ashish went to the “Shahidi sthal ” and paid his tributes to the Separate Uttarakhand movement activists who sacrificed themselves to get Uttarakhand. He pledged to continue his relentless struggle against injustice, corruption and political vendetta being taken by the ruling party from their opponents saying that UKD will go to each villages of Uttarakhand till 2027 and post direct challenge to BJP in Uttarakhand. Today in Dehradun thousands of UKD activists including its leaders like UKD chief Mr.Kathaith, Mr. Shanti Prasad Bhatt, major Santosh Bhandari , Mr.Kukreti veteran UKD leader and several others including large number of Ex servicemen and women activists staged and impressive protest demonstration against the police, the CM and the BJP government demanding immediate release of the arrested UKD leaders on fabricated cases under frivolous charges including withdrawal of the baseless charges leveled against them who had gone to a hotelier at Yamkeshwar demanding blocked salaries of the staff who had approached the UKD leaders to help them get their salaries withheld by the hotel owner, but instead on the written complaint of the hotel owner, the police arrested them accusing and labelling them as history sheeters under various serious allegations like Extortion etc. This vindictive attitude of the police and Uttarakhand government resulted in number of protest demonstrations, effigy burning processions, some exserviceman leaders including retire Army major Madam Santosh Bhandari becoming bald removing their hair in protest. In today’s impressive demonstration which gheroad the CM house hundreds of protestors especially women activists had skirmishes with the police with several women activists1ww becoming unconscious lying on the road under scorching hot weather with some women policemen trying to bring the women in sences by sprinkling water on their faces etc. The protest demonstrators were carrying hundreds of placards with pictures of Ashish Negi and Ashutosh Negi on them demanding their immediate release raising anti government and anti CM slogans. Finally they collected in thousands st Gandhi Maidaan addressed by the UKD leaders condemning the police action demanding the immediate release of the UKD leaders saying that whoever is speaking against the government demanding justice for Ankita Bhandari and on other important people centric issues are allegedly being put in jails registering fabricated cases against them. In this entire development what was important to note is the fact that there was no cooperation from the main opposition party Congress whose majority of the leaders had gone to Gujarat, Sabarmati to participate in the CONGRESS party’s plenary session.
