PRESIDENT, PRIME MINISTER, DEFENCE AND HOME MINISTER CONDOLE THE DEATHS OF 9 ARMY SOLDIERS IN LEH, LADAKH

The president, prime minister, defence minister and home minister today consoled the unfortunate deaths of nine brave hearts of Indian Army whose truck they were travelling in, had fallen in a deep gorge in Ladhak in a brutal accident after the driver of the truck lost control. The Army truck was carrying on its way to NYOMA from Leh, Ladakh when the driver lost the control of the heavy vehicle and plunged into a deep gorge around five PM. While nine personnel died on the spot in this brutal accident one was grievously injured. The accident occurred at KIARI in SOUTHERN LADHAK , NYOMA sending shock waves all around. After the badly injured jawan after retrieving them were taken to the Army hospital eight of them were declared brought dead while 9 th soldier died later on. The president of India Draupadi Murmu while expressing her condolences on the sad demise of 9 Army soldiers in X wrote : Deeply anguished to learn that a road accident in Leh left to loss of Indian Army personnel. I convey my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. May God give strength to bear this tragedy. I pray for the speedy recovery of the injured. The nation owes a great debt of gratitude to these soldiers for their selfless sacrifice tweeted president of India.

Prime minister Narendra Modi in his X previously Twitter wrote : Pained by the mishap near Leh in which we have lost personnel of the India Army. The rich service to the nation will always be remembered. Condolences to the bereaved families. May those who are injured recover at the earlier tweeted PM Narendra Modi wrote the PMO in X.

The defence minister Rajnath Singh in his X wrote : Saddened by the loss of India Army personnel due to an accident in Leh in Ladakh. We will never forget their exemplary service to our nation. My thoughts are with the bereaved families. The injured personnel have been rushed to the Field Hospital. Praying for their speedy recovery tweeted defence minister Rajnath Singh. The Union home minister Amit Shah on his X wrote : Deeply saddened by the tragic road accident in Ladhakh in which we lost our valiant soldiers, as their which fell in a gorge. The entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the bereaved families in this hour of grief. My sincerest condolences to them . May the injured recover at the earliest tweeted Home minister. The vehicle skidded due to slippery road and the driver not able to control it leading it to plunge in a deep gorge resulting in 9 brutal deaths and one injury.
