The chain snatcher of the gold chain of a Congress Woman MP nabbed

The Delhi police has exhibited a rare feat of arresting a chain snatcher within 48 hours after commissioning of the crime in Chanakyapuri VIP area
,
a diplomatic enclave where security is already tight.
The chain snatcher caught by the combined efforts of RK Puram, Sarojini Nagar and Chanakyapuri Police station using the technology and CCTV outputs, had the other day snatched a gold chain from a South Indian Tamilnadu MP R.Sudha who alongwith her another MP colleague had come for a morning stroll. The snatcher snatched her gold chain and hurt her in the neck including tearing her clothes creating quite a sensation and panic after she resisted and made a noise.
After the incident the Woman Congress MP had gone to the Tamilnadu House and came back to the spot with two security personnel.
On the way she spotted a PCR van and complained but didn’t acknowledged good response and was asked to come to Chanakyapuri police station to lodge her complaint.
This infuriated and angered her.
Terribly upset and panicked the woman MP R. Sudha who is in Congress complained to Priyanka Gandhi about this incident and was accompanied to the speaker Om Birla with this mishappening related news.
The Congress MP also send an email to the union Home minister in this regard.
She being an MP and the matter coming in the media and to speaker and HM, the police came into action and nabbed the culprit with four mobiles and the chain including the scooty used in this crime n a helmet etc.
According to the joint commissioner ( South range) Sanjay Kumar Jain the joint teams of police have been able to catch the chain snatcher using the CCTV footages.
The snatcher has come out of the jail on 27 June, 2025 after undergoing sentence. The criminal was involved in 26 cases of thefts and chain snatching said the joint commissioner Sanjay Kumar Jain.
The point is – this being the VIP case the culprit has been caught , thanks to Delhi police’s special efforts and dexterity but what about the cases of such nature of commoner , this is a moot question ? Are they also solved with the same expedience and sincerity ?
