Surendra Negi, who served with 17 ministers is no more. Breathed his last today. RIP

Surendra Kumar Negi, who had worked with 17 union ministers while in government service having started his career as a private secretary to Kedarnath Singh the then Ghaziabad MP several decades ago, having worked with former governor and Railway minister Ram Naik, his last assignment being with union coal minister Sri Prakash Jaiswal, Surendra Negi has passed away on Thursday evening at Max hospital, Vaishali, in Ghaziabad. Popular in Uttarakhand circles of Delhi and NCR after retirement Surendra Negi was the co convenor of Uttarakhand Third Front in 2016 trying hard to unite all the regional forces of Uttarakhand under one umbrella to form a third credible political alternative in Uttarakhand having already tested two national parties, not coming true to people’s expectations.

A man of commitment to help others, poor n needy Surendra Singh Negi was also active in socio – cultural activities of Uttarakhand to promote Uttarakhand’s culture folk songs n dances and ancient traditions. A gem of a person with affable nature Negi was credited to work with seventeen union ministers till his retirement. He also served as Director n Consultant in various departments as well. He was suffering from some ill health for the last few months. He breathed his last in Max hospital suffering brain Hemorrhage on Thursday evening.

His wife who is a Yoga teacher recently retired was out of Vaishali with his son who is working in Coastguard said socio political leader n Negiji’s colleague Sachidanand Sharma. He will be given final adieu on Friday afternoon after his wife returns back home. There is quite a, shock wave in Delhi and NCR Uttarakhand’s socio political circles and among his friends, near n dear ones n relatives. Our heartfelt deepest condolences and tributes to the departed noble soul.
