Supreme Court rejects Pulkit Arya’s petition to transfer the case from Kotdwar court to another state in Ankita Bhandari case

The Supreme Court has given a huge jolt to Pulkit Arya, the main accused in the Ankita Bhandari murder case which is already being heard in the sessions court , Kotdwar, Pauri Garhwal Uttarakhand. The Supreme Court has rejected Pulkit’s petition seeking transfer of the case from Kotdwar Court , Uttarakhand to some other state.
According to the information received from sources, Pulkit’s lawyers had argued in the petition that since in the hilly state of Uttarakhand, he is surrounded by the natives of his rivals, he has no hope of justice. The petition, is dismissed by the Supreme Court on the very first date of being considered eligible for hearing.

While hearing the case, the Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud said that this crime is very very serious. The hearing of the case should be completed soon. Apart from Chief Justice Chandrachud, Justice JB Pardiwala and Justice Manoj Mishra were also present who are in this bench of three judges.

It may be recalled that the hearing of the petition filed by Jago Uttarakhand editor and Uttarakhand leader Ashutosh Negi in the Supreme Court for identification of the VIP of Ankita case including demanding CBI probe, is also to be held in the first week of December 2024, before this, the decision of the Honorable Supreme Court will be conveyed to the family members and Ankita. This rejection of the petition of Pulkit Arya, the main accused in Ankita Bhandari case by the apex court has encouraged and made the conscious people of the society jubilant who are fighting for justice and are honestly advocating the case in the Kotdwar session court , Nainital High Court and the Supreme Court.
