Supreme Court refuses to hear Jharkhand ‘s former CM’s plea challenging his ED arrest. Says go to high Court !

The former chief minister of Jharkhand Hemant Soren already arrested by the Enforcement Directorate got a huge jolt from the three judge bench of Supreme Court which refused to hear his plea through his learned advocates Kapil Sibal and Abhishek Manu Singhvi. The Supreme Court has while refusing to hear the petition for relief has asked Soren’s advocate Kapil Sibal to approach the High Court. Justice Khanna categorically said that the petitioner should approach the high court of the state than approaching the supreme Court as the case is already in state high Court. We don’t want to override the High Court as the case is still pending there. If we admit it in Supreme Court , the other petitioners will follow suit said Justice Khanna while refusing to admit the Soren’s plea. On this the senior advocate Kapil Sibal argued that the Supreme Court could admit this petition but the Court refused saying that the petitioner Soren has, approached here earlier also and was asked to go to state high Court. If we hear you straight away how can we refuse others said Justice Khanna. Speaking in behalf of the ED the counsel of ED SD Raju stated that the same petition has been already filed in the high Court. While senior advocate and counsel for Hemant Soren , Kapil Sibal started arguing on this, the justice Khanna, said there’s no point arguing as you have already been directed to approach the state high Court.
