State govt of Manipur starts biometric of illegal Myanmar migrants at Centre’s initiative while Gogoi of Congress says that situation is extremely horrible in the strife torn state.

While the multiparty 21 MPs delegation is on a two days visit to Manipur’s riot affected valley and mountain districts meeting the Kukis as well as the Meity communities in various relief camps of Imphal and Chura Chandrapur likely to meet the governor on Sunday, the central and state government after the supreme Court’s order for CBI enquiry in the rapes and naked parades of women case has commenced the process of capturing the biometric data of the illegal immigrants from Myanmar who are reportedly involved in the massive violence in the strife torn North eastern state which started on May 3 rd.

The action to capture the biometric data of the immigrants from Myanmar to Manipur commenced from Saturday as per the statement of the state government.

According to news report the central government on the intervention of the Union home minister Amit Shah has carried this exercise with National Crime Records Bureau training the state government officials in this regard.

The Union home minister Amit Shah had earlier convened a high level meeting at the centre in this regard and had also visited the strife torn state meeting victims of these riots and their families in various relief camps applying balm on their wounds alongwith the state governor, CM and senior officials assuring of every possible measure to provide the victims all possible relief and rehabilitation including bringing the culprits to book.

Speaking in Lok Sabha in 25 July the home minister Amit Shah has catagorically said that the government is fully prepared to hold discussion on Manipur situation in Parliament but the vociferous opposition is not ready to either hear the government nor ready to hold discussions. The prime minister had also spoken on Manipur situation briefly outside parliament with opposition party leaders demanding PM’s statement inside parliament but the opposition was adamant femanding PM’s statement inside parliament, finally tabling the no confidence motion which has been admitted.

Meanwhile, Gaurav Gogoi, deputy leader of Congress in Parliament who is on the two day visit of the riot torn state as one of the important member of 21 MP delegation has said that they have interacted with cross section of the people and riot victims in Imphal, Chura Chandrapur and other areas hailing from both communities Kukis and Meities and have come to the conclusion that they are terrified. The youth and students who should have been in schools pursuing their education are unfortunately carrying guns in their hands openly to protect their families. Similarly the paramilitary and army personnel are confronting challenges on various fronts. This is unfortunate he said as the situation in Manipur is extremely sensitive and pathetic . He said that we are for total restoration of peace and tranquility in the state and both houses of parliament should have debate on the critical situation of Manipur. The law and order situation in Manipur is completely ” CHOUPAT” he said while speaking to the media . Unfortunately the prime minister could not see tension in Manipur. He only sees power there said Gogoi while speaking to media and in a tweet in Hindi.

On Saturday according to news reports a massive rally was organised by Coordinating Committee on Manipur integrity opposing the setting up of separate administration as demanded by the Kukis and also asked for stringent action against them.

The protestors later took a pledge to resolve the ethnic crisis in Manipur and unanimously resolved to uproot and counter the Chin Kukis narco terrorists who have clandestinely and arbitrarily migrated to the North Eastern state to create the massive violence, riots and killings creating havoc everywhere.

The 21 Member delegation is in Manipur for two days on 29 and 30 July who will return from ground zero with their in depth report raising the issue in Parliament after tabling the fact finding report in both houses of parliament.
