SSP Kotdwar assures that no evidence have been destroyed after bulldozing of the resort. We have sufficient evidence to give stringent punishment to the culprits

No evidence pertaining to the brutal murder of innocent Ankita Bhandari has been destroyed or tempered with. We have all the necessary evidence assured the SSP of Kotdwar range to the people of Uttarakhand to pacify soared sentiments.

There had been several reports in news portals after the demolition of the Vanantara resort owned by the main culprit of the murder of 19 year old Ankita Bhandari who was working there as receptionist.

The reports expressed apprehensions about the evidence having been tempered with due to the bulldozing of the resort.

The senior Congress leader and former chief minister of Uttarakhand Harish Rawat too had catagorically accused the government of playing with the concrete evidences by bulldozing the resort. He had emphatically wrote in his social media post that after demolition all the important clues will be destroyed. Is it a plan to derail the investigations he had questioned ?

Rawat had questioned : After all who had issued orders for the demolition of the resort.

Clarifying the apprehensions in this regard – the SSP Kotwar range has in a video released on social media said that no evidence has been destroyed as on 22 nd of September the police has collected all the necessary evidence and the next day the remaining n minute proofs were collected technologically and scientifically.

Therefore, be assured we have sufficient evidence to nail the culprits and fight the case till the end to give them the harshest of the punishment. The video was released on the Facebook timeline of DGP Ashok Kumar.

Kindly recall that after the recovery of the dead body of Ankita Bhandari and delay in the post mortem report in order to know the real cause of death and whether she was sexually molested before her being pushed in the canal, the father of the deceased girl along with hundreds of protesting agitators said that the last rites of the victim will not be allowed to be performed.

While the Uttarakhand CM and DGP have assured of all possible help n expeditious investigations in the case through fast track courts , the father n protestors want capital punishment to the brutal murderers.

There is also the demand for giving a government job to a member of the family and Rs. One crore as financial compensation.

Today entire Uttarakhand is badly agitated and there are vociferous protests in every part of the state including social media being fully packed with news pertaining to Ankita’s heinous murder demanding death to culprits. While the entire world is celebrating the international daughters day, there is complete pitch darkness in Ankita’s house with his ailing mother and struggling father fighting for justice on roads with people. Will they really get speedy justice is a big question ?
