Senior Superintendent of Police Dehradun has directed all the subordinates to conduct continuous checking campaigns against sale of intoxicants in hostels/PGs and shops located at places frequented by students in their respective areas.
In compliance with the instructions, a surprise inspection of a private educational institution located in Bidhauli was conducted by a joint team of local police, administration and doctors under the leadership of Area Officer Premnagar.
During the said campaign, all the students studying in a private educational institution located in Bidhauli area were made to fill the consent form/affidavit for getting their drug test done during admission.
In continuation of which, on 08-10-25, a *joint team of police, administration and doctors* conducted a surprise inspection at a private educational institution located in Bidhauli area.
Urine tests were randomly conducted on 17 students at the institute using a drug kit. All students tested negative.
Doon Police has given a clear message to the students involved in drug addiction that either they should give up drugs or else be ready for strict action.
During the campaign, other students present in the educational institution were also informed about staying away from drugs and the ill effects of drugs.
In compliance with the instructions of Senior Superintendent of Police, Dehradun, the process of surprise inspection will soon be implemented in other educational institutions also.
During the campaign, Sub-District Magistrate Vikasnagar, Circle Officer Premnagar, Tehsildar Vikasnagar, Additional CMO, Police Station Head Premnagar, doctor and lab technician etc.were present.
