A delegation of Srilanka senior journalists visited Press Club of India today and invited the Indian Press Club delegation to Srilanka in the near future. The delegation was presented trophies and the PCI magazine ” The Scribes World” as a token of friendship. The Srilankan journalists were curious to know about the PCI working, the ongoing elections in the country and the Club’s contribution to media fraternity etc which the PCI president Mr.Lahiri explained to the Srilankan journalists in detail. The delegation invited Indian PCI team to visit Sreelanka in the near future including expressing their desire to learn from Indian senior journalists about their healthy journalistic experiences to inspire the young and budding Srilankan scribes.The meeting held in extreme cordiality lasted for three hours with every member of the Sri Lankan Journalists delegation thanking the PCI president Gautam Lahiri, secretary general Neeraj Thakur n the managing committee for their hospitality and feedback. The PCI on the social media platform X wrote : A group of senior journalists from Sri Lanka visited the Press Club of India & discussed ways to assist each other in terms of information sharing and skill development.
They also spoke about the consistently developing ties between two nations and agreed for mutual media tours.
श्रीलंका के वरिष्ठ पत्रकारों के एक प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने आज प्रेस क्लब ऑफ इंडिया का दौरा किया और निकट भविष्य में भारतीय प्रेस क्लब के प्रतिनिधिमंडल को श्रीलंका आने के लिए आमंत्रित किया। प्रतिनिधिमंडल को दोस्ती के प्रतीक के रूप में ट्राफियां और पीसीआई पत्रिका “द स्क्रिब्स वर्ल्ड” भेंट की गई। श्रीलंकाई पत्रकार पीसीआई की कार्यप्रणाली, देश में चल रहे चुनावों और मीडिया बिरादरी में क्लब के योगदान आदि के बारे में जानने के लिए उत्सुक थे, जिसके बारे में पीसीआई अध्यक्ष श्री लाहिड़ी ने श्रीलंकाई पत्रकारों को विस्तार से बताया। प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने भारतीय पीसीआई टीम को निकट भविष्य में श्रीलंका का दौरा करने के लिए आमंत्रित किया, जिसमें युवा और उभरते श्रीलंकाई पत्रकारों को प्रेरित करने के लिए भारतीय वरिष्ठ पत्रकारों से उनके स्वस्थ पत्रकारिता अनुभवों के बारे में सीखने की इच्छा भी व्यक्त की। प्रत्येक सदस्य के साथ अत्यंत सौहार्दपूर्ण ढंग से हुई बैठक तीन घंटे तक चली। श्रीलंकाई पत्रकारों के प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने पीसीआई अध्यक्ष गौतम लाहिड़ी, महासचिव नीरज ठाकुर और प्रबंध समिति को उनके आतिथ्य और प्रतिक्रिया के लिए धन्यवाद दिया।
सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफॉर्म एक्स पर पीसीआई ने लिखा: श्रीलंका के वरिष्ठ पत्रकारों के एक समूह ने प्रेस क्लब ऑफ इंडिया का दौरा किया और सूचना साझा करने और कौशल विकास के संदर्भ में एक-दूसरे की सहायता करने के तरीकों पर चर्चा की।
उन्होंने दोनों देशों के बीच लगातार विकसित हो रहे संबंधों के बारे में भी बात की और आपसी मीडिया दौरों के लिए सहमति व्यक्त की।
